BRANT—HUPP WEDDING Simple ceremonies at Capilla de San Antonia on Feb. 23 united in marriage Miss Shirlee Louise Brant, daughter of the Edward Brants of 9862 Brookhurst and Dewitt G. Hupp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Hupp of Santa Ana. Miss Brant wore a white linen suit and was attended by Mrs. Robert Brant, her sister-in-law. Don Hupp attended his brother as best man and guests were seated by James Holcomb and Warren Hupp. The new Mrs. Hupp is a graduate of Anaheim Union High school. Her husband, a member of the Los Angeles police force, attended Fullerton Junior college and San Jose State college. In lieu of an immediate honeymoon, the couple are planning a trip to Mexico later this month. The appointment of Don Derrr as director of the newly-created parks and recreation department has been approved by the City Council. Lloyd Trapp, former assistant recreation director, has been promoted to recreation superintendent. Vic Ruedy will continue as superintendent of parks.
