Miss Frieda Janas presided at the March meeting of the Anaheim Chapter of Red Cross at the Chapter house last Thursday evening. R. W. Powell accepted the post of disaster chairman as well as first aid chairman to replace Rex Coons who was forced to resign by the press of his business.
The chapter is planning to send candidates to aquatic schools in the latter part of June. Two applications were received and more are desired. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and hold a senior life-saving certificate according to Tex Middleton, aquatic chairman.
The production committee reported work on bed jackets for the Palo Alto veterans hospital and made ready a shipment of clothing and books to take to the Council meeting on Tuesday for distribution at local veterans' hospitals.
