NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the annual meeting of the stockholders of the Anaheim Building and Loan Association will be held at the office of the Association at Center and Lemon Streets in the City of Anaheim, California, on Monday the 21st day of February, 1955, at the hour of 7:30 p.m., said day for the purpose of the election of a board of Directors for the ensuing year and the transaction of such business as may properly come before such meeting.

Girl Scout Troop 17 Now in Two Patrols
Girl Scout Troop No. 17, composed of 4th graders at Lincoln is now divided into two patrols. Due to double school sessions the resourceful leaders, Mrs. Gertrude West, Mrs. Fay L. Cook, and Mrs. Rose Wagner, have solved the difficulties of continuing troop activities like this: The girls of one patrol meet in the morning and bring their lunches to school. The other patrol members bring their lunches and hold their meetings in the early afternoon. The leaders plan the program so that each group works on a similar project, using materials in common.
The morning patrol is led by Mrs. West. Members are: Bette Ann Solberg, Lorene Kirkhart, Janice Coelho, Helen Real, Caroline Guerra, Judy West, and Connie Libby. The afternoon patrol is led by Mrs. Cook. Members are: Christine Miller (seribe), Joanne Guerra, Judy Cook, Mary Blye Koch, Carol Wagner, Linda Casto, and Paula Venable. Troop Committee members are: Mrs. Betty Koch, Mrs.' Faye Coelho, and Mrs. Tillie Real.
MILTON S. WILKERSON
Milton S. Wilkerson passed away at his home, 835 N. Lemon street, Sunday. He was 64 years of age, born in Kansas. He had been a resident of Anaheim one year, moving here from Pasadena. He is survived by his wife Frances MRS. HELEN L. KITTINGER
Mrs. Helen L. Kittinger passed away at Restful Acres Home, Santa Ana, Feb. 4. She was 50 years of age, born in Colorado. Mrs. Kittinger has made her home in Newport Beach for the past two years. She is survived by her husband, Leonard Kittinger of Newport Beach, two sons, James and John of Neport Beach; two brothers, John R. Lloyd of Inyo Kern, Richard W. Lloyd of Santa Ana; one sister, Mrs. F. E. Power, Garden Grove.
Funeral services were held in the chapel of Backs, Campbell & Kaulbars, Tuesday, at 10 a.m., Rev. Ralph B. Pease officiating, and interment made in Fairhaven cemetery.
Robin Warde, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Warde of 11652 S. Walnut Ave., has been missing her kindergarten classes at Katella school this week due to the chicken pox. Her twin brother, Richard, does not have it, yet.
SCHOLARSHIPS EXAMS TO BE GIVEN
Announcement was made the week by the Scholarship Committee of Chapman College of the next examination to be given candidates for Chapman College.
State Legislators Scrutinize Budget
Nearly one-fourth of California's state legislators convened in Sacramento Monday to be piecing apart Governor Knight proposed $1,529,000,000 budget for the 1955-56 fiscal year.
Assembly Committee on Revenue and Taxation, headed Glenn Coolidge of Santa Cruz opposed to the Governor's recommendation that $78,000,000 in taxes be imposed on users of bacco, liquor, beer, and pari-tuel betting machines in order balance the budget.

MILTON S. WILKERSON
Milton S. Wilkerson passed away at his home, 835 N. Lemon street, Sunday. He was 64 years of age, born in Kansas. He had been a resident of Anaheim one year, moving here from Pasadena. He is survived by his wife Frances L., of Anaheim; two sons, Bernard and Donald, both of Riverside; two daughters, Mrs. Alan Hagedorn and Mrs. Daniel Rosenthal, both of Lomita; one brother, Howard H., of Portland, and two sisters, Mrs. Florence McKeague of Alhambra, and Mrs. Mae Ellis of New York.
Funeral services were held at Bethany chapel, Long Beach, Wednesday, at 2 p.m., Rev. David Schoch officiating, and interment made in Green Hills Memorial Park, San Pedro, with Backs, Campbell and Kaulbars, Anaheim, in charge.

$400. The scholarship examinations are given each year on a

a much larger scholarship program. In addition to these there
are other special scholarships for
particular abilities in music, religion, education and other fields.
Candidates for the scholarships
should make application prior to
one week before the examinations
are given. Written application
may be made to the Scholarship
Committee, Chapman College, 333 North Glassell St., in Orange.
The scholarships granted thru
the competitive examination are paid for by the proceeds from the yearly Founders' Day Scholarship Banquet. Scheduled for March 4,
this year's banquet will provide the scholarship money which will be granted next year.
Of interest to scholarship candidaes is the fact that Chapman College is the only four-year liberaral arts college in Orange County that grants a Bachelor's Degree and is sanctioned by the State of California to grant a teaching credential.
