Joseph hospital on Sept. 20. The Wilsons reside at 10052 Forest Lane, Anaheim.
Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Caruthers of 12257 Ball Rd., welcomed their third child and first girl in Fullerton Cottage hospital. She was born on Sept. 20 and weighed 6 lbs. 12 oz.
Boys Club Leaders Discuss "Y" Plans
Boys club leaders and prospective club leaders met at the Anaheim YMCA yesterday evening for a tamalie pie supper prepared by Mr. and Mrs. John Bertch, secretary of the "Y" and his wife.
This was the first fall gathering of the leaders who have met once a month during the year. Following the fellowship supper program activities and leadership training were discussed.
Mrs. John Crane gave birth to a son in St. Joseph hospital Sept. 24. The Cranes reside at 715 Poplar Place.
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Rhines, 1257 Flower street, welcomed an 8 lb. 5½ oz. son in St. Joseph hospital on Sept. 11.
Democrats Set "Graves Day"
Orange County Democrats have set Oct. 4 as "Graves' Day" in honor of Richard P. Graves, democratic nominee for governor, who will spend the entire day in the local communities.
Graves, formerly executive director of the California League of Cities and a professor of government at the University of California, upset political predictions by capturing the Democratic nomination for governor in the June primary elections.
Highlights of the "Graves' Day" schedule are:
12:15 p.m.-A non-partisan address before the Civitan Service club at the Ho Sai Gai restaurant, Santa Ana.
2:00 p.m.-Opening up of the Democratic Campaign Headquarters, 208 W. Fifth St., Santa Ana.
3:30 p.m.-Public open house and tea at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Wesley, 2405 N. Bonnie Brae, Santa Ana, sponsored by the Women's division.
6:30 p.m.-Public dinner at the Grange hall, Century and Taft Sts., Garden Grove, sponsored by the Garden Grove Democratic club.

Porter Heaps in Organ Recital Next Tuesday
Plans were complete this week for the recital and master class on the Hammond Concert model organ to be presented early next week by Porter Heaps internationally known organist, in Santa Ana.
Heaps' recital is set for Monday evening at 8:15 in Santa Ana High school auditorium. On Tuesday, Oct. 5, he will conduct a full-day master class on the organ in Studio A-1 at Santa Ana college.
The college is sponsoring both
The newest member of the William T. Shea family of 829 N. Lenz Dr., is a daughter born in St. Joseph hospital on Sept. 20, tipping the scales at 7 lbs. 13 oz.
Among the newcomers to Anaheim is a husky 9 lb. 5 oz. son born to Mr. and Mrs. Guy House, 820 Aspen St., in Santa Ana Community hospital on Sept. 21.
Mr. and Mrs. Nick Garcia, Mutual' Camp, 11-A, Anaheim, became the parents of an 8 lb. 12½ oz. son in Orange County hospital on Sept. 21.
The native habitat of the canary bird is the islands of Canary, Cape Verde and Madeira.

The master class will be conducted in three two-hour sessions, 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 7 p.m., for church organists and music teachers of the county.
Admission to the recital is free and there will be only a nominal charge for the master class, the college announced.
Heaps has had a brilliant career on the concert stage, having been before the public since he was 18, it was stated.
He was selected as recital organist for Rockefeller Chapel, University of Chicago, while still a student at Northwestern university.
He has appeared as guest soloist with the Chicago and Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and presented the Guilmant "Concerto for Organ and Orchestra" with the National Symphony Orchestra in Bogota, Colombia, as the climax of a South American tour.
Anaheimers Take Honors, Ribbons, At LA County Fair
Among leading exhibitors in the culinary department of Los Angeles County fair are Linnie Campbell, 118 S. Olive St., who received 19 blue ribbons and Mrs. Anelia Bates, 11331 Ninth St., who took 16 first places. Lena M. Anderson, 709 S. Citron Ave., was also awarded top honors in baking for her raisin bread and orange bread.
The 1954 exhibition continues through Oct. 3.
Miss Campbell is displaying chutney, corn relish, mixed pickles, peach chili sauce, pickled peppers, ginger pears, youngberry jelly, plum and raspberry jam, youngberry jam, lemon marmalade, tangarine marmalade, persimmon marmalade, quince butter, cherry, grape, pear and unclassi-

In the junior division of the Fair, Future Home-makers of Anaheim Union High school received second place for the feature exhibit which they entered.
Lena Anderson, 709 S. Citron Ave. is among the blue ribbon winners at the fair. She received top honors for her model table setting for a teen-age supper party.
Participating in the 4-H division, Anaheim Korn Huskers took second place for their agriculture feature exhibit. Placing fifth among the home economics displays were the Magnolia Egg Beaters.
Clada Pletz of the Korn Huskers is among winning exhibitors in the 4-H home economics division. She received two blue ribbons for her displays in the home furnishings class.
