St. Joseph hospital was the birthplace of the 6 lb. 6 oz. daughter born to Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Flatten, of 1189 Chateau st., on Sept. 17.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F.' Carter, 226 Spruce Dr., welcomed an 8 lb. 14½ oz. daughter in St. Joseph hospital on Sept. 20.
AUHS Graduates Make Good Marks At Occidental
Another report of success in college by Anaheim Union High school graduates came this week from Occidental college where five members of the class of 1953 enrolled for their Freshman year last September. These students are Laurel Bohan; daughter of Mrs. Amy Bohan of 9101 Magnolia Ave.; Geraldine Glover, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Glover, 421 N. Janss; Janet Larson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harwood Larson, 551 S. Lemon; Shirley Pannier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Pannier, 559 S. Ohio and Philip Wright, son of Mrs. Lucille Wright, 617½ N. Philadelphia.
A composite grade average of 2.88 which is equivalent to a B and is considered an excellent record, was made by these students according to Osborne Wheeler, college counselor of Anaheim Union High school.
In addition to the excellent scholarship record made by these five A.U.H.S., graduates they were also active in many student affairs.
Laurel Bohan was active in the A Capella Choir, student church, and served on a committee for May Day.
Geraldine Glover was elected to Bengal Board, was active in the May Day committee for May day.
Geraldine Glover was elected to Tigah Tap, an honorary sophomore service group, was Resident council representative and active on the student church board.

On Sept. 19, a son was born to Mr. and Mrs. E. Hutain of 20111 Esperanza Rd. The infant weighed 6 lbs. 11 o. upon arrival at St. Joseph hospital.
Seven pounds, 14 oz. was the birthweight of the infant son born on Sept. 21 to Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Doney, 910 N. West St., in St. Joseph hospital.
A 5 lb. 7 oz. son was born on Sept. 20 in St. Joseph hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Woodward, 1914 Redwood Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack H. Wood of 8652 Ball Rd., welcomed a 7 lb. 12½ oz. son in St. Joseph hospital on Sept. 19.
