Alice Reeves Becomes Autumn Bride Of Richard Wilson in Chapel Ceremony Before an altar decorated with white gladioli and autumn yellow chrysanthemums, the Rev. A. J. Caseboer, pastor of Anaheim Christian church, officiated at the wedding of Miss Alice Jeanne Reeves and Richard Wayne Wilson, on Saturday evening, Sept. 11, in a local chapel. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Reeves of 414 N. Emily street, and her bridegroom is the son of the F. D. Wilsons of Long Beach. Given in marriage by her father, the bride walked down the aisle in a waltz length wedding gown of Chantilly lace and silk. A floral cap held an illusion veil, and she carried a white orchid arranged on a white Bible. Miss Mardel Reeves attended her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Sue Renfrow and Miss Marjorie Boyd. The bridegroom was attended as best man by his brother, Robert. Ushers were Richard Peterson and Justin Bartho. Elwood Henry was at the organ and soloist Kenneth Akin sang "Ava Maria" and "The Lord's Prayer." Mrs. G. E. Reeves and Mrs. John Wallin assisted with serving at the reception which followed while Miss Muriel Reeves was in charge of the guest book. The bride’s traveling suit was of light tan trimmed with luggage brown. She is a graduate of Anaheim Union High school and Criss Business College. Presbyterian Church Calls Rev. Henshaw The Rev. Jack E. Henshaw has been appointed assistant minister of the First Presbyterian church. He fills a new post resulting from the church's expansion. Orangethorpe P.T.A. Members of Board Hosts to Faculty Orangethorpe P.T.A. board members were hostesses to the principal, faculty, and school personnel at a luncheon on Friday, September 10. Mrs. Herron, 1st grade teacher, asked the blessing before the meal. P.T.A. president Mrs. Stanley McCartney welcomed the guests, and called upon the principal, James Graves, to say a few words. Mrs. Alborn second grade teacher, introduced the new teachers and Mrs. McCartney introduced the board members. On Monday, P.T.A. board members were also busy. Seven new classrooms were ready for occupancy. Mr. Graves directed pupils to their rooms, assisted by Mrs. Ed Benner, Mrs. Walter Cronk, Mrs. Vernon Thompson, Mrs. John Hall, and Mrs. J. R. Garrish.
