BABY MERRIFIELD BORN
ENROUTE TO HOSPITAL.
Among the new births to be recorded in Anaheim is that of a 6 lb. 6½ oz. boy born on August 10 enroute to St. Joseph hospital. Mrs. John J Merrifield, 1132 W. La Palma avenue, lost a close race with the stork as she was approaching the hospital by taxi. Hospital physicians were able to officate in the closing minutes of the race.

EVENTS SCHEDULED FOR LAST WEEK IN AUGUST
Sea Scouts are scheduled to meet in the Investment in Youth Building at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, August 25.
Important Ikeettes meeting on Thursday, August 26, at 8 p.m., Investment in Youth Building.
The A. B. Paul Social club will meet at La Palma Park; on Tuesday, August 24, for a noon pot luck luncheon which will be followed by a benefit novelty auction.
On Wednesday evening, Aug. 25, Josephine Fulfer will entertain members of the Business and Professional Women's club at a patio supper at her home at 560 S. Clementine street.
According to Tillie Real, president, the Jaycettes will meet on Wednesday night, August 25 at the home of Dolores Williams, 609 S. Helena street. New officers will be installed at that time.
The Lois Rebekah Lodge will meet on Friday, August 20, at 8 p.m., at the LO.O.F. hall.
The YLI Cotton dance held on Saturday night, will be open to the public begin at 9 p.m., at the B.
Monday evening, August be ladies night at the Y the Y's Men's club holds dinner meeting at 7:00 p.m. the ladies as guests of honor.
The VFW hall at 106 adelphia St., will be open Monday night, Aug. 23 a for an Auxiliary meeting.
The regular 7:30 a.m., b of the Realty Board has scheduled for Wednesday 25, at Athy's Diner.

The Eulalia Toastmistress which met in the Council at Kwikset Locks for the meeting had as their guest Vowls and Luella Price. Shirley Jo McSoud acted stitute topicmistress. Speak the table topic "Favorite and Magazines" were Phyllis rison, Helen Erskine, Louise Zee, Nellie Weaver and Pelton.
Verna Benbrooks as to tress introduced the topic Speakers were Roberta Hebe Harke and Bernice Woman. Lexcologist was Nellie ver and General Evaluator Roberta Bechtel, Hebe Ha Lucy Van Zee.

MAGNOLIA 4-H CLUB
WINS PAIR AWARD
Members of the Magnolia Egg Beachers 4-H club placed first with their booth at the Orange County Far and were awarded prize money totaling $60 The booth featured special table settings.
Individual ribbons for cooking skills were awarded three girls. First place for muffins went to Bonnie Krumanaker, 12, first place for biscuits to Carolyn Allred, 11, and third for biscuits to Judy Reynolds, 11.
Congratulations are in order for Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Clark of 1465 Damon St. They became parents of an 8 lb. 12½ oz. daughter in Santa Ana Community hospital on August 10.
A 5 lb. 12½ oz. daughter was born in St. Joseph hospital on August 10 to Mr. and Mrs. Roy Moss of 1010 Vineyard street.
License to wed has been issued Moreno Escalante of 320 S. Palm street, and Miss Dora Perez Pozos of 409 W. Santa Ana street, Anaheim.
Couple Married In Home Garden Rites
In a pretty garden wedding at the home of the bride's parents, Miss Jean Cordier exchanged marriage vows on Aug. 7 with Thomas Bouslög, son of Earl O. Bouslog of Fullerton and Mrs. A. Troutman of Santa Ana...
Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Yach of, 838 N. Janss street, the bride was given in marriage by her step-father. Wearing a summer bridal gown of white cotton lace over taffeta, she carried a bouquet of white orchids and stephanots. The Rev. Dave Deshler of White Temple Methodist church ed the ceremony at an ad ered with ivy and pink florals.
Matron of honor was Mert Hutchins of Fullerton in pink dotted Swiss Shoe a bouquet of pink carnation.

Temple Methodist church performed the ceremony at an arbor covered with ivy and pink flowers.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Robert Hutchins of Fullerton, gowned in pink dotted Swiss. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations.
Fred Bouslog was his brother's best man.
Sixty wedding guests attended the out-door reception which followed.
The bridal couple are now honoring them along the California coast. The bride graduated from Anaheim Union High School in the class of '54 where she served.
