Delores Mittman Becomes Bride of Cortez Hoskins in Presbyterian Rites Prominent local wedding this past week was the marriage of Miss Delores Mittman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Mittman of 620 N. Helena street, and Cortez W. Hoskins, scion of the Cortez R. Hoskins family of 320 W. Alberta street. The bride is a charter member of the Junior Assistance League of Anaheim and a graduate of U.S.C., where she was affiliated with Alpha Omricon Pi. Her bridegroom is a graduate of Pomona College and last month received his Master's degree in Geology from Claremont graduate school. The wedding vows were said on Saturday evening, July 17, at the First Presbyterian church with officers, Rev. Roland W. Anderson, resident minister, and the Rev. G. Byron Deshler, minister of Spurgeon Methodist church, Santa Ana. As the bride was given in marriage by her father in the candlelight, she wore an original William Cahill gown of pure silk Italian satin in antique tones, with draped portrait neckline and short sleeves ornamented with roses and crystal beading. The full skirt fell into a peacock train. A tiara of pearls of similar shade held a three-quarter length veil of French illusion. The wedding bouquet was of eclipse roses and stephanotis arranged on a prayer book with accents of antique satin streamers. The bridal attendants were gowned alike in ombre gold and bronze nylon tulle dresses and carried cascade bouquets of Harvest Moon carnations accented with brown and yellow ombre chiffon. Matron of honor was Mrs. A. M. Schostag (the bride's sister), and bridesmaids, the Misses Annelie and Sigrid Mittman, (also sisters of the bride). Each of the ten young pirates aspire to reign as Pirate Queen over the six-day Fair which opens Aug. 10, and their suspense will be ended with the selection and coroation at the Pirate Ball in the Rendezvous Ballroom Saturday night. The harbor cruise, which leaves the dock at 7 p.m., for an hour's run, also will include singers and dancers from the cast of "Bouchard the Pirate," the colorful musical show to be presented nightly during the Fair. Following the boatride, the queen-contestants and the Pirate cast will participate in informal entertainment and merrymaking at the dock before proceeding to the ballroom for the actual competition.
