Mrs. Clara Bonewitz
Mrs. Clara E. Bonewitz, 90, native Pennsylvaniaian, and Stanton resident, passed away Monday, July 19, at the Orange County hospital.
Funeral services were held in the chapel of Backs, Campbell & Kaulbars, Wednesday, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Eugene Coffin, Garden Grove, officiating. Interment was in Westminster cemetery.
Tapp Appointed to Bank of America Vice-Chairman Post
Advancement of Jesse W. Tapp, heretofore executive vice-president of Bank of America, to the post of vice-chairman of the board of directors is announced by S.
Clark Beise, president of the institution.
Tapp will transfer his activities to Los Angeles headquarters on the bank about Sept. 1. Beise said Walter J. Braunschweiger will continue his statewide activities and executive vice-president with headquarters at Los Angeles.

A native of Kentucky, he is a graduate of the College of Agriculture of the University of Kentucky and has done graduate work in economics at Harvard and University of Wisconsin.
Tapp is currently president of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of two of President Eisenhower's commissions: the commission on foreign economic policy and the commission on agriculture policy.
He is also chairman of the agricultural commission of the American Bankers Association and a member of its credit policy commission.
He is also a member of the agricultural committee of the California State Chamber of Commerce and of the advisory committee of the National Cotton Council.

Stricken Suddenly
Glendon William Shoupe., for 35 years a resident of Anaheim, died suddenly early this morning (Thursday) at the Anaheim Community hospital where he had been taken shortly before from his home at 543 S. Resh St. A native of Indiana, he was 66 years of age.
Surviving are a son, Robert S., of Inglewood, and two grandsons, Richard and Robert, also of Inglewood. He was a member of the Anaheim Masonic Lodge No. 207 and of the Modern Woodmen.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning at 10 o'clock from Hilgenfeld's. Rev. Frank E. Butterworth, pastor of White Temple Methodist church, will officiate. Ritual of the Masonic Lodge will be read at the graveside in Loma Vista Memorial park.
Mr. and Mrs. George Dierberger of 12402 E. Vermont, gave a gay square dance party for their daughter, Barbara, to celebrate her sixteenth birthday.
QUARTON-HUND VOWS
AT ST. BONIFACE CHURCH
A local member of the U.S. Marine Corps claimed an Anaheim belle as his bride in recent ceremonies at St. Boniface Catholic church when Miss Patricia Ann Quarton exchanged marriage vows with Gilbert Hund with the Rev. Anthony Duval officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theo Quarton of 817 W. North St., and her bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony J. Hund of 546 S. Citron street.
The couple have established their first home at 869 S. Lemon street. The new Mrs. Hund will complete her studies at Anaheim Union High school while her husband is stationed at Camp Pendleton.
On July 16, an 8 lb. 11 oz. baby boy was born in St. Joseph hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Dorien Brown of 8182 Ventura street.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ramirez, 8082 Orange Ave., became the parents of an 8 lb. ¼ oz. son in Santa Ana Community hospital on July 15.
