Diplomas were awarded by E. L. Wainpler, board of education chairman. Guest speaker was Alfred J. Freitag, superintendent of the Los Angeles Lutheran High school. Principal Walter Knigge presented the class. Awarding of class pins was by PTA president, Mrs. Martin Geissler, and songs were sung by the school chorus and audience. The prayer and invocation was given by Rev. Edwin P. Pflog and "The Lord's Prayer" was sung by Mrs. Elroy Oldenburg. Other students receiving diplomas were Betty Lou De Jager, August Fluegge, John Heiden, Monte Hazzard, Bobbie Hushman, James Kurk, Charles Pietsch, Mella Desa Scott, Rollie Shipley, and Larry Young. ANAHEIM LIVE-STEAMERS ATTEND L. A. MEETING The Tri-County Live Steamers met in Los Angeles last month at the home of Charles Brand. Eight 8-inch scale locomotives were running as well as a steam powered car. Those attending from Anaheim were club secretary Albert Cranston and Mr. and Mrs. Werner Walter and George Vandenberg and grand-daughter. Meets will be held in this vicinity in July and August.
