Don Lehmer Weds Garden Grove Girl
Newly-wed Ms. and Mrs. Donald Lehmer are expected home from their northern California honeymoon this week-end, to reside in Anaheim. They were married in the Garden Grove Catholic church early in June. The bride is the former Miss Helen O'Conner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. O'Connor of Garden Grove, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul S. Lehmer of 208 N. Clementine street.
The church was bountiful decorated with white bridal flowers as the bride came down the aisle on the arm of her father. She wore a lovely floor-length gown of satin and lace which was hooped at the skirt. The finger tip length veil was caught by a tiara-of seed pearls, and the bridal bouquet was of orchids and stephanotis.
Miss Shirley Rondeau as maid of honor, wore a yellow formal gown which contrasted nicely with her bouquet of blue carnations. The bridegroom's niece, Sandra Lehmer, was flower girl. Her blue nylon frock was fashioned with a hoop skirt. She wore yellow daisies in her hair and scattered yellow rose petals.
The bridegroom was attended by Rodger Acton of Anaheim as best man. His brothers, David and Glenn Palmer, took over usher duties.
A wedding reception was held in the warm sunshine of Capilla de San Antonio's pretty garden. Over 100 relatives and friends signed the guest book and watched the bridal pair make the first cut in the three-tiered wedding cake. Miss Barbara Bartlett was in charge of the guest book.
When she left on the honeymoon trip, the bride was wearing a cream colored suit with red accessories. The bridegroom is a graduate of Anaheim Union High school and Pepperdine College. He spent three years in the U.S. Navy and is now emplaced with the full time of service as well as two sons and Louie and daughter M.
