Reception Given for Newlyweds
Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Davenport,
N. Vine street, recently gave
lively post-nuptial reception for
her son-in-law and daughter,
Polyn, who became Mr. and
John Kenneth Dees on May
More than 100 friends and relles attended.
The bride's table was centered
with a three-tiered wedding cake
and decorated with tulle hearts,
lighted candles, and white bells.
As she made the first cut in the
wedding cake, the bride was wearing an ice blue frock of oriental
silk with a corsage of white orchids.
The bridegroom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Barney Dees of Norwalk and is stationed with the
armed forces in San Francisco.
He obtained leave from Letterman
General hospital where he is convalescing to have a pretty double
ring wedding ceremony performed
by a family friend, Rev. Nyal D.
Royse of Hollywood, at the Norwalk Church of Christ. The couple
was attended by Miss Nancy Zehnpfenning as bridesmaid and John
C. Burke as best man.
The quiet May wedding was attended by members of the immediate families. The bride wore a
white hand knit suit made by her
mother. The honeymoon was sain Yosemite.
The wedding reception later
planned to coincide with the bgroom's current leave. The
Mrs. Dees will continue to reher home with her parents
she graduates from Fulla
Junior College this month.

As a climax of the school term,
the group enjoyed an overnight trip to O'Neil Park and an eight mile early morning hike. The girls were accompanied by Mrs. Muraoka and Mrs. Hutchens.

A 9 lb. 2 oz. baby boy was born in Orange County hospital on May 31 to Mr. and Mrs. Odell Bishop of 8241 Euclid Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. James Walker, 506 S. Resh street, welcomed an 8 lb. 8½ oz. baby daughter in St. Joseph hospital on June 4.
