PTA Council Meets To Install Officers Using an interesting color theme by means of ribboned corsages, Mrs. John Henry, president of the Anaheim Council Parent-Teacher association, installed the new officers of the Broadway PTA at the regular monthly meeting on April 6. The following new officers were installed: president, Mrs. Darwin Stockwell; vice-president, Mrs. Kendall Magill; treasurer, Mrs. Roy Pina; recording secretary, Mrs. Sam Morgan; historian, Mrs. Ben Lillenthal; auditor, Mrs. Clark Brown; parliamentarian, Mrs. Ambrose McDonald. A musical program entitled "Lazy Mary" was presented by the kindergarten classes. At the close of the meeting, Mrs. Morgan, retiring president, was presented with the past-president's pin, and a gift from the association for her year of service. Mrs. Ben Lillenthal and Mrs. Roy Pina, first grade room mothers, were hostesses at the social hour. Tinted cala lilies and jonuils decorated the tea table. April Schedule of YLI Activities The April meeting of Anaheim YLI revealed current activities in many fields of endeavor. A report on Father Stadler's home in Banning was made by Elsie Benner. Juliana St. The monthly card party will be held in the home of Virginia CHICAGO RELATIVES WELCOMED Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Tess of Chicago are visiting their son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. John Wilcox of 419 E. Sycamore St. They arrived by train last Tuesday and received a special welcome from their grandchildren, Carol S., and Kirk, 6. Dr. and Mrs. Wilcox expect to sail for the Hawaiian Islands on Saturday, April 17. They will attend a medical convention in Honolulu as well as vacation during their month's stay in the islands. VISITORS FROM TEXAS Mr. and Mrs. Owen Jordan of Lamesa, Texas, while enroute to Sacramento for a visit with their son-in-law, daughter and small grandchildren, stopped by Anaheim Monday evening and spent the night with their old-time friends, Mr. and Mrs. Frank S. Nipper,.527 S. Clementine. Mr. Jordan has for many years been in the field services of the Magnolia Petroleum Co. CARD PARTY APRIL 21 The A. B. Paul Women's Relief Corps will hold a card party on April 21, preceded by a noon luncheon and the contribution will be 50 cents. This event will take place of the regular meeting.
