Glenn's Cafe in New Location
Friends of Maynard and Elsie Glenn, one of Anaheim's pioneer restaurant couples, join in congratulating them on the opening of their new eating establishment, Glenn's Cafe, 136 E. Center St., Anaheim.
Their kitchen features the latest in modern, stainless steel equipment, affording efficient, speedy service. The inviting interior, styled to produce comfort and convenience to their many patrons still gives forth "that homey touch" so characteristic of their previous place a few doors west. Their famous slogan, "Consistently Good Food at Popular Prices" continues in force, with operating hours listed as: daily 6 a.m., to 9:30 p.m., with Sunday, 6 a.m., to 12 noon.
More booth service is featured in the new cafe. The new kitchen will have Maynard Glenn in charge. An attractively designed fry kitchen, in the corner of the main dining room is a new feature, manned by fry cooks, Tom Alexander and William Pettit. Assisting Glenn in the main kitchen will be Dale Rogers, John Frank, Bob O'Melia, Frank Trokey, Jim Chandler and Joe Andrews. The dining room is also equipped with a refrigerated milk dispenser.
Nine waitresses include many who have worked for the Glenns many years. Julia Chapman, with them since their Spanish Kitchen establishment, 15 years ago, and Olive Stone, since 1951. Others include Levaun Bayles, Una McDonald, Ruby Wilson, Thelma Karch, ZoAnn Mitchell, Jean Ray, Dorothy Zindorf and two cashiers Mrs. Johnie Andrews and Mrs. Alta Bondurant.
Gratulations to Maynard and Elsie Glenn

He is a member of the Elks, Masons, American Legion, Chamber of Commerce and a member of White Temple Methodist church.
Neighboring firms unite in extending Glenn's Cafe wishes for continued success.

Pancake Supper Reported a Success
The Prospectors class of White Temple Methodist church did a brisk business in pancakes at the annual pancake supper served last Friday evening in the church dining room. Taking a western theme, and using wagon wheels, kerosene lamps, and other typically western regalia for atmosphere, the group served hot cakes, ham, syrup, orange juice and coffee to all comers, and realized a net profit of $109. The proceeds will be spent for folding chairs for the church.
General chairman was Everett Granere assisted by Jim and Mabel Taylor. Publicity was handled by Mrs. Leo Oden and Mrs. Ernest Leonard. Mrs. Paul Hysom was in charge of the dining room, Mrs. Paul David was receptionist, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Endicott took tickets, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Robertson were responsible for the unique decorations.
CAPS AND GOWNS
Approximately three hundred seniors at AUHS were measured last week for caps and gowns to wear at the annual graduation exercises, in June.
