Kite Carnival Lists Contest Winners The 18th annual kite carnival took place on the grounds of Lincoln school on Friday, March 5, with 154 kites in spirited competition. Sweepstakes awards went to Peter Dinkler and Margie Powers. All school children were invited to take part and judging was done on flying ability, workmanship and originality. Judges for the carnival were B. F. Mattox, Appointed Lutheran Contact Chairman Mrs. Henry Bamesberger of 13252 Orangewood Ave., has been appointed local contact chairman for the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home of the West, according to A. J. Schutte of Anaheim, association president. The home, which was organized two years ago in Anaheim, is to hold ground-breaking ceremonies on April 22 in Terra Bella. Doll Club Holds First Meet of '54 Members of the Anaheim Doll club convened recently at the home of Mabel Ives, 407 E. North street for the first meeting of the new year. Mrs. F. H. Leonard presided and announced tentative plans for a field trip to visit the Terry Lee doll factory in Apple Valley. The following guests were introduced: Mrs. Leitha Feighmer, Mrs. R. F. Snyder and daughter, Dorene, and Mrs Ruth Kaufman. When refreshments were served, each member and guest received a clothespin doll cleverly decorated and clothed.
