Anaheim Couple Exchanges Vows In Capilla de San Antonio
The wedding chapel at Capilla de San Antonio was decorated with white stock, tall lighted tapers and green palms for the February wedding of Nancy Ann Rice when she exchanged marriage vows with Madison Cornell Gray. The Rev. Frank E. Butterworth officiated at the double ring ceremony.
The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene C. Rice, 724 S. Janss street, given in marriage by her father, was lovely in an ankle length gown of white nylon net over taffeta. She wore a single strand of pearls at her throat and carried a bouquet of orchids, stephanotis and carnations.
Maid of honor, Miss Marjorie Boyd, wore a pink gown of taffetta and net and carried a nosegay of pink carnations.
The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Conan W. Gray, 218 W. South street, was attended by best man Dwain Carter. Steve Holden and the bride's brother, Eugene Rice, served as ushers. Elwood Henry was organist.
A reception followed in the Chapel hall. The bride and groom made the first cut in a three-tiered wedding cake. Assisting with the serving of cake and punch were Mrs. Eugene Rice and Miss Jeneal Reeves. The groom's sister, Miss Glenda Gray, was in charge of the guest book.
The bride's traveling costume was a two-piece Navy blue wool
Senaida Navarro
Miss Senaida Navarro, 63, died at St. Joseph hospital Feb. 18. She was born at Yorba Linda, with residence at 6071 S. Ridgeway Dr. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church in Placentia.
Rescitation of Holy Rosary was held in family home Sunday at 8 p.m. Mass in St. Joseph's Catholic church Monday, Feb. 22.
Survivors include one sister, and three brothers. Interment was at Holy Sepulcher cemetery with Backs, Campbell & Kaulbars directing.
BRIDAL SHOWER
A combination kitchen and pantry-filling shower was given for Miss Marjorie Henderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Henderson of 837 N. Janss street, on Saturday evening, Feb. 20. It was held in the home of close friends, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Hunt of Whittier.
Family and friends showered the bride-to-be with canned goods from which labels had been removed so that a spirit of fun prevailed. The party was climaxed with a buffet supper. Miss Henderson will become the bride of Everett Birtchell on April 10.

The Nebraska State picnic will be held in Bixby park, Long Beach, Calif., Saturday, Feb. 27, 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Miss Pat Duke, daughter of Julia Dilforth of 1215 W. Water St., will become the bride Harold Hartwick on Saturday, 27, at the Long Beach Chapel by the Sea.
The bridegroom elect is an employee of the Anaheim Post Office department. The couple are planning a Catalina honeymoon.
Hostess for Speareks' Forum
Mrs. Joe Thompson was hostess to the Orange County Speakers' Forum which held the February meeting at her home on N. Clementine. She was assisted in serving a buffet breakfast by Mrs. Harry Horn and Mrs. G. A. Paige.
Among the speakers of the morning was Mrs. C. W. Austin who in her talks entitled "Magazines"
Births
Among the newest members of the Anaheim "stork club" are Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Bush of 601 S. Philadelphia St., who became eligible for membership on St. Valentine's Day when their 6 lb. 10 oz. son was born in St. Joseph hospital.
Birth
A baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Harry Tift, 611 West Broadway, in Santa Ana Community hospital on Feb. 16, weighing 6 lbs. 5½ ounces.

Mrs. Gall Barnett of Buena Park is the new president of the Junior Membership, Orange County Federation of Women's clubs.
Claude E. Lane
Claude E. Lane died at his home 899 S. Claudina St., Feb. 21. He was 50 years of age, a native of Iowa, but had lived in Anaheim for 31 years.
Survivors are one brother and three sisters. He was a member of the Anaheim Elks' club. Services were held in the chapel of Backs, Campbell & Kaulbars, Thursday at 11 a.m., conducted by Rev. Roland Anderson, following which interment was made in Fairhaven cemetery.
REBEKAHS
Mrs. Cora Stewart was admitted to the Lois Rebekah lodge as a transfer from Santa Ana at last week's general meeting. Mae Willis was installed as left supporter to the Noble Grand.
SCHOOL OF INSTRUCTION
A school of instruction led by state president Rose Hake will be held for members of Lois Rebekah lodge on Friday, Feb. 26 at Huntington Beach. The all-day session will begin at 10 o'clock.
