H. A. Gardner States Candidacy Answering many inquiries as to his political intentions, County Treasurer H. A. Gardner has announced that he will be a candidate for the office he has occupied approximately 10 years. He was first placed in this position following the death of County Treasurer Terry Stephenson, receiving the unanimous vote of the Board of Supervisors, and for the two—four year terms, was re-elected without opposition. Gardner has been a Santa Ana resident since 1908, and holding a number of important financial positions with local business institutions. He is a member of the Santa Ana Rotary Club, Santa Ana Country Club, Santa Ana Cham... Dr. R. Temple Residing in Anaheim since 1930, Dr. R. Temple, 62, 6161 Lincoln Ave., native of Iowa, passed away February 16. The dentist is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maude Temple, Anaheim, a daughter, Mrs. Gloria Cottrill, Menlo Park, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Ola Olaughlin, Riverside, Iowa. Dr. Temple was a member of the Anaheim Presbyterian church, Buena Park Lodge 358 F. & A. M., a Past Master of that lodge; Buena Park Kiwanis club, being Past Lt. Gov. of that district; White Shrine, Past President of Orange County Dental society and, as of this day, on the board of Southern California Dental society. Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m., in Anaheim Presbyterian church, the Rev. Roland Anderson officiating. Interment in Loma Vista cemetery, Backs, Campbell & Kaulbars directing.
