NEW GAME FISH
The "redeye" or Coosa bass, a new game fish for California waters was recently brought in experimentally via plane with 39 large adults surviving.
The Coosa is comparable to the small mouth bass in both fighting and eating qualities. It seems well suited to some of California's streams which are too warm for trout and too small for the other kinds of bass.
December 31 was the birthdate of the baby son welcomed by Mr. and Mrs. Neal Lemons of 1006 W. Broadway in St. Joseph hospital. The infant weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz upon arrival.

THE instant you see these 1954 Buick you'll know that something sensational has happened in automobile styling.
Here is vastly more than the usual changeover. Here is vastly more than can be done just by warming over what Buick had before. Here is something accomplishes by going far beyond artful face-lifting.
Here is that rarity of rarities—a complete new line of automobiles.
But Buick didn't stop with the bold fresher, swifter-lined beauty you see raised and lengthened fender sweep—in huge and back-swept expanse of windshield—in the lowered roofline—in the host glamor features of exterior modernity.
They upped all horsepowers to the high in Buick history.
They engineered a new V8 for the Spec—and in the process came up with Power-Head Pistons that boost gas mileage in every engine.
