Telephones: RYan 1-7401 - DOuglas 7-2171 TELEPHONE WOMEN HONORED Mrs. Sophronia Burns and Mrs. Helen Printz of Pacific Telephone's Anaheim central office were chosen to represent local operators last Friday night at a special dinner celebration in Los Angeles honoring more than 100 southland telephone women on the 75th anniversary of women operators. The women, from Pacific and connecting company switchboards in seven Southern California counties, were paid tribute by 200 other guests including Governor Knight; Pacific's president Mark Sullivan, and Actor Leo Carillo. Republican Women Election Jan. 12 According to president Mrs. Charlotte Carter, there will be no meeting of the Republican Women' Club during December, but the group will meet again on January 12 when election of officers. Christmas Story Play Presented A four-scene pantomime entitled "The Christmas Story" was presented by students of Benjamin Franklin school at the December PTA meeting. Mrs. Kenyon Dawson presided at the business meeting and made a special request for donations of small toys to be used in the school nursery provided for tiny tots during PTA meetings. During the social house table was beautifully with Santa and his lighted candles as Christmas and coffee were served kindergarten room mother. Assisting with the serge Mesdames, A. W.
