Gardner, our special Silverado correspondent, is in town for a short stay. 75 Years Ago Week of December 24— At the last meeting of the Anaheim Water company the maps and profile for the ditch to connect the Anaheim and Cajon company's ditches was exhibited. An estimate by the Engineer, Mr. Knox, places the cost of constructing the ditch at between $3500 and $4000. Messrs. Heiser and Humpau were appointed a committee to provide right-of-way from owners of land through which the connecting ditches will pass. An assessment of $1 per share was levied, payable before February 4. This is the first time in ten years that the assessment has exceeded fifty cents per share. One hundred and twenty-five shares of stock were represented at the meeting of the Cajon Irrigation company on Saturday. Messrs. Mcadden, Gilwicks and Hunter were appointed a committee to meet in Anaheim to revise the by-laws and discuss plans to liquidate the company. The agreement with the Anaheim Water company in regard to the sale of the half-interest in the dutch was unanimously ratified as was also the purchase by the Cajon company of all the water rights and ditches of the North Anaheim Canal company.
