GROWING WITH SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!
At Vernon Avenue and Alomeda Street, Los Angeles, is the finest, most modern meat aging plant in the Western United States.
In 1926, Safeway built the first facilities designed exclusively for aging meats. Four years later, it was outgrown by the insistent demand for better, finer eating meats made possible by the Safeway 5-Point-Plan and a new, even more scientifically advanced plant was erected.
The successful operation of this plan came through absolute control of every part of the procedure—giving you the best eating meats in the entire West from the moment a shipment of top quality government graded meats is received. Such absolute control is possible only because Safeway operates its own Meat Aging Plant!
