Post-Nuptial Reception Honors Former Margarite Schutte, Spouse The fall tones of spider chrysanthemums mingled with cat tails, wheat and autumn leaves decorated the Schutte home at 400 W. Alberta st. on Saturday evening when A. J. Schutte honored his daughter, Marjorie and her husband, Alan R. Talt, with a post-nuptial reception. The new Mr. and Mrs. Talt were married on Sept. 12 in the university chapel on the campus of the University of California at Berkeley where both are pursuing advanced studies. They stood before the fireplace at the Schutte home to receive best wishes from 250 relatives and friends who gathered in their honor, also greeting the guests were the bride's father, and the bride-groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel H. Talt of Stockton. The bride was lovely in a champagne color silk frock of ballerina length. The lace which ornamented the very full skirt gave way to tiny pleats in back. Mrs. Talt's corsage was of green orchids. A buffet supper was served on the outdoor patio where the garden setting was illuminated by hidden floodlights. The bride-table was centered with an exquisite pedestal wedding cake and further decorated with light yellow tapers in silver candelabra and yellow chrysanthemums. Friends and family who assisted as hostesses were Mrs. William Smith of Fullerton, Mrs. Cal Rohrs, Santa Ana; Mrs. Jim Chellett; Mrs. Howard Genrich amd Mrs. David Walkley of Glendale; Mrs. Stewart Black, friend of the bride from Occidental College days; and Mrs. Daniel Talt, sister-in-law of the bride, who traveled from Redwood City with her husband for the reception. The newly married couple had recently returned from a homo moon at Carmel and made the home at 2615 Ridge Road, A 6, Berkeley. The newest member of the William Carroll family at 8241 Euclid st., is a girl. She was born on Monday in Orange county hospital and weighed 8 lbs 5 oz. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Pauste 8739 Hansen st., became the parents of a son on Monday. The infant weighed 6 lbs., 14 oz., and was born in Santa Ana Community hospital. A highlight of the afternoon was the drawing of door prizes donated by A. B. Richardson Co., Cotler's Men's Store, Carmen's Flower shop, and Safeway Stores.
