6 Anaheim Gazette THURSDAY, SEPT. 17, 1953 ANAHEIM, DALIFORNIA General Topic for AUHS Fall Forum Announced; Series to Begin Sept. 21 The general topic of the Forum series at Anaheim Union High school this fall was announced this week by Paul H. Demaree, principal and district superintendent. The topic of the series of eight forums will be "The Strength and Potentialities of the Countries Encircling the Iron Curtain for Combatting Communism". The fall forums will again be held on Monday evenings in the Anaheim High school auditorium. First in the series will be "Titanyl Contribution", by Clifford J. Kamen, Sept. 21. The second forum will be "Thunder on the Left—Tito's Yugoslavia", under the direction of Raymond McKelvey, Sept. 28. The third presentation will be conducted by Karl Robinson Oct. 5. Fourth in the series is "Palestine—Center of Conflict", to be presented by Dr. T. Walter Wallbank the evening of Oct. 12. Herbert Knapp will conduct the fifth meeting featuring "Denmark and Sweden—Internal Strength", Oct. 26. The sixth forum will have as the topic "Germany—The Enigma", the evening of Nov 2, with Norbert N. Einstein in charge. Seventh in the series will be "Turkey—Today's Power", with the presentation by Dr. Henry Hart, Nov. 9. The eighth and final fall forum will be conducted by Hal Linker, with the topic "Wales and England—Their Potentialities". Nov. 23. The spring series for 1954 will be announced at a later date.
