Placentia Ave. After a delightful noon-day luncon, the Rev. Fred Neldringhousoke on the theme chosen for the coming year, "Rejoicing in Our Sk." Hostesses for the fellowship meeting were members of the executive board, Mrs. Joe E. Harliss, Ms. W. B. Chilcote, Mrs. D. S. Villanou, Mrs. Lloyd Morris, Mrs. Rick Conrad, Mrs. Arthur M. Raymond, and Mrs. Fred Martin. The Horace Mann Parent-Teacher Association met in the auditorium of the Horace Mann school on Thursday morning, Sept. 3, with nineteen members present. Mrs. Vernon Starr, president, presided over the regular business meeting and introduced Mrs. Mary Ference, who gave an interesting report on welfare work. It was decided that at least ten mothers would be present on the opening day of school to act as hostesses in ushering the children and their parents to the assigned rooms. Each helper will wear a badge and will be on duty at 8:15 a.m., Sept. 14. Coffee and cake will be served in the auditorium to all parents and teachers present, by the hospitality committee headed by Mrs. R. Kenton Wines and by the tea chairman, Mrs. Wesley Mondoza and her committee. Mrs. Russell Renner announced the P. T. Adistrict meeting on Sept. 17, in Anaheim City Park, with registration to be at 9 a.m. and meeting scheduled to open at 1:30. Pot luck lunch will be served at noon. Anaheim Village Is Latest Home Development Here The Paul L. Pierce - Griffith Bros. development, Anaheim Village, is the latest addition to Anaheim's flourishing building growth with nearly 100 homes planned. Evening Ceremony Unites Gayt Huebert, Gerald Chaney Friday Miss Gayle Marie Huebert was a radiant bride when she exchanged marriage vows with Gerald Chaney on Friday evening in the First Presbyterian church. She wore a wedding gown of white nylon over taffeta which was fashioned with a full sweeping train. There were insets of lace at yolk and sleeves. Her picturesque heirloom veil was held in place by a tlara of simulated orange blossoms and she carried a bouquet of lillies of the valley and white orchids. The Rev. Arthur M. Stevenson performed the impressive double ring ceremony in the sanctuary decorated with huge baskets of white flowers and it was witnessed by 200 guests. Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Huebert, 8061 Alamo, the bride was given in marriage by her father. She was attended by her aunt, Miss Bonnie Huebert, as maid of honor-and by bridesmaids Miss Barbara Simonton of Anaheim and Miss Pat Kilpatrick of Fullerton. Their gowns were of organdy over taffeta cut in similar style in lovely pastel shades aqua, yellow and pink. In discussing the selection of Anaheim for "Anaheim Village", Pierce declared that the city had been selected as the spot of logical growth for Northern Orange county. "We were impressed by the area's beauty, convenience and balanced economy of the city", Pierce said. The builders are also participating in the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce House Committee activity. Mrs. Arthur Stevenson, wife of the assistant pastor of First Presbyterian church, conducted the ceremony in Bethel Baptist church. Installed with Mrs. Thompson were: Mrs. Arthur Korn, Evangelical United Brethren church, first vice president; Mrs. Page Vincent, First Presbyterian church, second vice president; Mrs. Herbert Bowen, Bethel Baptist church, secretary; and Mrs. Edward Anderson, Church of the Nazarene, treasurer. The Rev. Chester Ferris gave devotions and spoke highly of the value of inter-denominational cooperation among church women as characterized by this organization. Boney Family Ends Tour of Europe Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Boney and son, Robert Jr., have recently returned to their home at 401 Leonora st. after a three months' trip to Europe. They made the trip by plane, visiting Germany, Belgium and England. The main purpose of the trip was to visit their daughter Betty Ruth, who is living in Bavaria where her husband, Major M. M. Millette is commanding officer of Bad Tolz, the largest army sub-post in Europe. The Boney family came away enthusiastic about the Bavarian Alps which are considered to offer some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.
