WHITE SOCIETY EDITOR Phone 7515 Rita Ann Little and Vincent Cook Wedded at St. Boniface Recently the bride of Vincent D Cook recently in St. Boniface Catholic church. The Rev. Fr. Patrick Cayey officiated. Serving nuptial mass were altar boys Michael Little, brother of the bride, and Bill Cook, brother of the groom. Miss Little is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James F. Little of 1972-Ball rd., and her bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Cook of Costa Mesa. Before an altar banked with yellow and white gladioli and white larkspur, the bride was given in marriage by her father. She was radiant in a traditional wedding gown of white nylon tulle and Chantilly lace. She wore a fingertip veil which fell from the lace covered crown adorning her hair. The bride's bouquet was of white orchids and stephanotis. Wedding Party Mrs. Carl E. Call attended her sister as matron of honor. Another sister, Mrs. Simon J. Gassman, was bridesmaid as was Miss Ann Goodman and Miss Georgia Sehl. All wore matching ballerina length gowns and carried yellow and white dahillas in little yellow baskets. Mrs. Call's dress was of ombre colored nylon tulle while those of the bridesmaids were of yellow nylon tulle. As flower girls, Denise Jones, a niece of the bride, and Christine Cook, sister of the groom, wore ballerina dresses of yellow nylon tulle. The bridegroom was attended by Joseph Collins as best man and ushers Robert Herold, Harold Black and Jack Balch. At the organ was Mrs. A. F. Faust, Soloist, Miss Dolores Giardino, sang "Ave Maria", "Panis Angelicus" and "Remember Holy Mary." Garden Reception Capilla de San Antonio was the scene of a delightful outdoor reception attended by 300 guests. A friend of the bride, Miss Mary Ann Kennedy of San Diego, was in charge of the guest book. Assisting with the serving at the bride's table were Miss Diane Cook, sister of the groom, and Miss Marlena Burns. The bride's mother chose a black faille dress with rose-colored accessories for the occasion while the bridegroom's mother wore a suit of aqua blue with black accessories. Kwikset Toastress First Meeting Held The newly organized Toastmistress Club of Kwikset held its first regular meeting with the newly elected officers presiding on Wednesday, Sept. 2. Officers elected at a previous meeting were: Phyllis Harrison, president; Shirley Forsgren, vice-president; Ann Gowdy, secretary; Hebe Harke, treasurer; Verna Benbrooks, club representative; Dorothy Morrison, program chairman. The club will meet on the first and third Wednesdays in the Kwikset conference room. This meeting place will alternate with dinner meetings which will be held at various local restaurants. At the next meeting, the group will decide upon an official name, adopt the by-laws and have a representative from the International Toastmistress Group to sit-in on the meeting and answer any questions that the local group might have. University Women Schedule Party The American Association of University Women, Santa Ana Branch, will entertain new members at the annual membership party on Friday, September 18 at the Santa Ana Ebell Clubhouse according to Miss Minnie R. Spicer, Anaheim representative of the Association, Mrs. Clair Jordan, newly elected president will extend a welcome to new members and committee chairmen and section leaders will explain the nature of the various committees and sections. Bridge and canasta will follow and the evening will close with a tea hour. Women interested in becoming members are asked to call Miss Spicer at Anaheim 4890 concerning their old hair. The new Mrs. Cook attended Orange Coast college and Immaculate Heart college while her husband is a graduate of Loyola High school and is now a senior at Loyola university. Engagement Told Mr. and Mrs. William A. Spanier of Fullerton announce the engagement of their daughter Dorothy to William Billow, son of Mrs. Frank Billow of 844 S. Lemon st. Los Angle Phone A Parke-Hiltscher Nuptials Held on Fullerton Church on Friday Miss Ruth Ann Parke of Fullerton became the bride of Roland Carl Hiltscher of Anaheim on Friday evening in the First Christian church of Fullerton. The Rev. Carlton Buck officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. H. W. Parke, was given marriage by her father and predeceased a traditional gown of white upper satin with tulle over skirts and decorative details of Chanly lace. She carried a white bable upon which was arranged midnight gardenia surrounded allies of the valley. Music was furnished by Andrea Williams who sang "Because" and the Lord's Prayer. Boettcher Funeral services were held yesterday for Mrs. Louise Boettcher, 83, a native of Rumania who lived in Anaheim since 1927. Richard Ogilvie and John Siewert, ushers. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hiltscher of 7841 S. West st. For her son's wedding, Mrs. Hiltscher was gowned in an aquamarine chiffon and lage dinner dress also of chiffop and lace. They stood with the members of the wedding party in the church parlor to receive 300 wedding guests who attended a reception following the ceremony. Hostesses for the occasion were Mmes. Wm. W. H. Parke Jr., Richard Barrett, Max Hiltscher, Clair Gillaspy, Glen Shoop, William Porter, Ben Tuckey and William Williams. In charge of the guest book was Mrs. Dale Swain. The bride is a graduate of Fullerton High school and Fullerton Junior college. She is a member of Theta Nu Theta and Past Honored Queen of Bethel No. 13 Jobs Daughters. She is employed by the Fullerton branch of Bank of America. The bridegroom is a graduate of Anaheim Union High school and Fullerton Junior college. He is a member of Alpha Gamma Sigma and will attend U.S.C. this fall. The new Mr. and Mrs. Hiltscher will make their first home at 501 W. Whiting st. in Fullerton. Homesteaders Picnic Here Over 500 former residents of Homestead, a small city in the heart of Pennsylvania's steel industry gathered recently at the city park to enjoy a reunion picnic for the 20th successive year. So popular is the Anaheim picnic site that members of the group have consistently vetoed any motion to change the picnic location. Master of ceremonies was William Newman. It was his unique idea to distribute copies of the Homestead Gazette of the past year to those assembled. General chairman of the gay all day party were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Pape. The following officers were named for the coming year: president, Albert Pape; vice-president, William LeVecke; secretary, Garfield Parsons; treasurer, Louis Freeman.
