St. Jude Hospital Guild Selects Eight Members of Honorary Board
Selection of a permanent Honorary Board of Directors for the St. Jude Hospital Guild was announced at a general meeting of the organization held on Monday at the La Habra Woman's Club.
While additional members may be added later, members named were: Reverend Mother Felix, Orta Larson, Anaheim; Mrs. Frank Illsier Jr., Whittier; Dr. I Struve, Fullerton; Warren Felson, Fullerton; and Dr. R. nandez, La Habra.
The announcement of the honorary advisory group was made by Mrs. Peter J. Weisel, Jr., president of the Guild, who presided over the meeting.

Marilynn Jean Daigle, Robert B. Ewing Take Wedding Vows Saturday
One of the outstanding social events of the past week was the marriage of Miss Marilynn Jean Daigle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard W. Daigle, 521 N. Zeyn st., and Robert E. Ewing, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Ewing of Ontario.
The couple exchanged vows Saturday afternoon at the Episcopal church of the Messiah, Santa Ana, with the Rev. John Kimball Saville of Anaheim officiating. After the nuptial rites, a reception was held at the Greenbrier Inn, Garden Grove.
Kin of Fluor Family
The bride is the granddaughter of the late J. S. Fluor of Santa Ana and was given in marriage by her father. She was lovely in a period style wedding gown of nylon tulle and lace. The portrait neckline was trimmed with jeweled lace above a pleated bustline. From a long fitted torso, a bouffant skirt flared in tiers over crinoline skirts and hoops.
A half bonnet with pleated tulle and matching lace bead trimming held in place the flowing finger tip veil of illusion net. Nylon mitts completed the bridal attire.
Miss Daigle conceded to tradition by wearing a blue garter made by her friend, Mrs. John Purcell, and by slipping a lucky penny into her shoe. Her flowers

Mrs. Daigle wore a formal gown of copen blue nylon tulle over an underskirt of taffeta. Rhine-stones formed a leaf pattern at the neckline, and the pattern was repeated in the full skirt. A matching hat and white gloves completed the ensemble.
The bridegroom's mother wore an aqua gown of lace and crepe de chine with rose color hat and gloves.

In the Little Chapel Around Corner in Las Vegas, Miss Rogene Sherman became bride of Louis Denno on 1 with the Rev. Thomas D. Fliciting.
Mrs. Denno is the day of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Sherman's reside in Pawtucket, Island, but he enjoys whispering locally as owner of Denno's Beauty Fullerton.
For her wedding, she chose a gown of pale pink embroidered with seed pearl rhinestones. To carry out this additional "something old, some new—", Miss Sherman can six pence brought by her from England after World War II, worn by nine other brides special garter borrowed from Paul Duron; and a blue hanky given her as a small by a former neighbor.
The new Mr. and Mrs. spent a brief honeymoon Desert Inn and are planning longer trip to San Francisco this month.

Mrs. Walter Devele and Mrs. Howard Swearengen gave a post-nuptial shower recently in the Swearengen home at 14648 E. South st. Honoree was Mrs. Robert Recker, formerly Miss Doris Ann Robison of Santa Ana. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Robinson and became the bride of Robert Recker of Tustin in Yuma, Ariz., last month.
Approximately 50 gueses showered Mrs. Recker with gifts, and at refreshment time.

Turnee, Sgt. Manuel G. Morino of Anaheim, is scheduled to reach San Francisco Saturday, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. Raymond Hernandez, were informed by the army on Tuesday. Sgt. Morino, a member of Anaheim's Co. K., 40th Division, was held prisoner by the Reds for 23 months.

Sherman-Denno Wedding Held in Las Vegas
In the Little Chapel Around the corner in Las Vegas, Nevada, Miss Rogene Sherman became the bride of Louis Denno on August with the Rev. Thomas Daly officiating.
Mrs. Denno is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Sherman of Anaheim. Her bridegroom's parents reside in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, but he enjoys wide-accentance locally as owner-manager of Denno's Beauty Bar in Bullerton.
For her wedding, the bride chose a gown of pale pink faille embroidered with seed pearls and silkestones.
