Motoring Accessories Style Novel Millinery
In the spring millady's fancy turns to thoughts of hair. But the hatters, judging from these pictures, start thinking of automobiles. If you want to be a real wheel, advises one milliner, try a hub cap off the family car. A little satin lining, says he, and you've got Hubba Cappa Hattia, what? Another designer found the Chevrolet hood ornaments an inspiration for the job at the right. Could be he's giving us the bird.

The bride chooses her own attendants, of course, selects her own wedding dress and helps her attendants decide upon theirs.
Next comes the ordering of invitations, announcements and even note paper for thank-you letters.
If the noneymoon is to be more than a few days, it is a good idea to have announcements addressed and stamped ready for mailing after the ceremony, and to have as many thank-you notes written as possible before hand.
It has become traditional for the bride to formally announce her wedding in the newspaper and to make this once in a timely event a lasting memory, the urge also makes arrangements with a photographer for wedding pictures.
These things are the responsibilities of the invitee. She may also make her own arrangements for the music to be played or not wearing, and choose appropriate gifts for her attendants.

St. Michael's Choir Holds Annual Dinner
Members of the senior choir of St. Michael's Episcopal church, their wives and husbands were entertained at a ham dinner Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Leroy Marsh, 300 N. Janss st., with the choir director, Mrs. Russell Ireland, as co-hostess.
The dinner, an annual affair with the group, was followed by an evening of musical entertainment, including community singing.
An original touch was produced in the place-cards for the dinner. They were made in the form of musical notes and attached to each was a quotation or saying which could be attributed to one or the other of the members. The diners were then required to match a particular choir member with his or her appropriate quotation.
Attending the dinner were the Rev. and Mrs. John K. Saville, rector of St. Michael's and his wife; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Patrick, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Stanton, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Ireland, Mrs. Ada Anderson, Mrs. Rollo Taylor, Miss Hazel Erickson, the church organist; Miss Doris Rouland, Phillip Waugh, Jr.; Miss Betty Burnell, Bob Root, Mrs. Marsh and Mrs.-Wesley Mendoza.
Starter: Star flour and water together and allow to stand in a warm place until sour. Action may be speculated upon by adding yeast. The batter should be a mixture that a pancake batter will have to stand for a minimum of 12 hours before being used.
Use 2 cups of batter and pour it into a depression mould in the top of a quantity of flour. Add melted shortening, a little sugar and salt in about the same proportions as used in baking powder biscuits. Mix and knead just enough flour into the dough that the dough will soon make a rooam ball. Grease it well and set aside to rise.
It has been done in the morning, toward evening and during powder and soda. Soak the dough thoroughly to thicken. Fold and roll for 10 minutes, cut, place in a greased pan and brush with milk. Set in warm place and let rise for one-half hour, when doubled in yolk, bake in a not oven at 400 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.
