Christian Science Sermon Topic is On Necromancy "God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness." So reads one of the Proverbs of Solomon (21:12) in the Golden Text of the Sunday Lesson-Sermon in all Christian Science churches. The subject is "Ancient and Modern Necromancy, alias Mesmerism and Hypotism, Denounced." The importance of detecting evil and of being and doing good is pointed out by Jesus in his Sermon on the Mount, as recorded by Matthew (7:15, 16, 19), where he counsels, "Beware of false proph-ets, which come to you clothing, but inwardly ravening wolves. Ye sit them by their fruits gather grapes of thorns of thistles? ... Every bringeth not forth good hewn down, and cast fire." In "Science and Heaven Key to the Scriptures" Mer Eddy writes, "In no way is the effect of animal morsel recently called hypnotism than the effect of illusion various theories will make their imaginary power or evil, until we lose our them and make life its of harmony and God." IF PRINCESS POMONA HAD A TELEPHONE YOU COULD TALK TO MER AND SHE COULD TALK BACK! BUT I THINK I'D LIKE IT BETTER IF SHE COULDN'T TALK BACK! BUT I THINK I'D LIKE IT BETTER IF SHE COULDN'T TALK BACK!
