Television Star Pinky Lee Will MC Entertainment
Special Prizes to be Awarded for Indian Costume
Bigger and better entertainment, more prizes and faster service in chow lines—is the word on Anaheim’s giant Hallowe’en breakfast to be held in City park at 7 Oct. 32. Heading the entertainment will be the star of the KNBH television show “The Two,” Pinky Lee. Lee, a veteran comic who has been a success in radio, TV, movies, shows and night clubs, will MC the variety show which follows breakfast.
Pinky will introduce Charles Carrer, European juggler; Dell O’Dell, magician - comedienne; the Ben Yost Colleens, four song birds, and Virginia Lee, dancer and entertainer. In addition, Anaheimers attending the celebration will be serenaded by the music of Jerry Carter and the Cornhuskers, whose appearance was arranged through the courtesy of Glenn Stroud of the Harmony Park ballroom.
Six chow lines will be set up to speed the more than 2000 dinners expected at the breakfast on their way, loaded down with hot cakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, hot rolls, coffee and orange juice. Only three lines have been serving breakfast in the past and the new arrangement should cut the time breakfasters will have to wait for their food in half.
Costumes are mandatory at the breakfast—but to add incentive to this arbitrary decision 24 prizes will be awarded in four different classifications for costumes judged to be the most outstanding.
Prizes will be awarded to the best costumed group, best costumed couple, best costumed man and best costumed woman. In addition, special awards will be given in each of these four categories for costumes which most clearly carry out the festival theme—the year: the American Indian.
Tickets for the gala affair be purchased at Security National bank, Jackson drug store, SQR store, chamber of commerce Penney's and the Bank of Acea.
Costumes will be judged by a group from the Business and Professional Women’s club, Mrs Walburg, chairman. Breaks will be served by members of junior chamber of commerce table settings will be provided Altrusa club members, who also serve orange juice.
Participating in the big pants are Dixie cups, Real Gold, Orange juice, Yellis dairy, Folgers coffee, Karo maple syrup, Carnation pear Old Gold cigarets, C. and H. ar, Durkees shortening and Syry hot cakes.

A YEAR EARLY — The redskins in the pie above won prizes for their costumes last year. Looks like they forecast the American Indian theme of the festival this year and saved themselves the trouble of digging up new costumes.
