AROO COURT—The guys suspended in the cage above Center st. were some of the recalcitrants who failed to either grow beards or wear Smooth-ittons. The same fate is promised for any of theiriors caught next Saturday during the celebration.
HE THOUGHT THEY WERE KIDDING—Dire things happen to a man who fails to enter into the spirit of Lowen in Anaheim. Top picture, Bob Roßsberg, P. T., T. manager here, figures the guys are kidding as threaten to throw him in the Elks club fish pond forure to grow a beard or wear a Smooth-puss button.
ART CRITICS—The job of conducting and judging the Kiddie Window Art contest last year fell to the Anaheim Junior Chamber of Commerce, same as this year. Seated at front, left, is Dr. Warren Hollingsworth, 1951 Jaycee president, who is chairman of the contest this year. His wife is at his left. Last year's chairman, Fred Davis, now deceased, is second from right of the picture. The other Jaycees and their wives shown in the picture assisted in the difficult job of judging.
