Gay advised prospective breakfasters to buy tickets as soon as possible at the chamber of commerce office, SOR store, J. C. Penney Co., Security-First National bank. Jackson drug store or Bank of America. Price is $1.50.

Parade Marshal is Authority on Indian Lore, Acts in Movies, TV
A living monument to the dignity, the color and the savage splendor of America's first citizens, the Indians, is Iron Eyes Cody, who will lead this year's Anaheim Hallowe'en parade.
The grand marshal of the parade is known by the whole family because of his television appearances in this area and his many motion pictures. He appears on KTLA with Tim McCoy and Doye O'Dell.
Besides being a famous Indian actor, Iron Eyes is a technical adviser on Indians and Indian customs for motion pictures and is an adviser on Indian lore for the Boy Scouts of America. His books on Indian sign language have been distributed far and wide.
He was born in Texas of Cherokee parentage and has been in the movie industry since 1924. His first picture was "The Covered Wagon." He is an archery expert and has won many prizes in contest dances with other Indian tribal dancers. He has one of the best private collections of Indian material in the west.
Iron Eyes learned much of his tribal lore from his father, Thomas Long Plume, who toured the country with a wild west show. While travelling with the show Iron Eyes had the opportunity to learn the sign language, at which he is so proficient.

MISS Slick Chick Appears on TV
The 29th annual Anaheim Hallowe'en pageant and parade had a mighty attractive representative on Jack Bailey's "Queen for a Day" television show yesterday. She was, of course, Miss Slick Chick of 1952, Frances Hurtado.
In addition to informing the television audience of the great community celebration here, Frances invited the selected queen, Miss Betty McGuire of Los Angeles, to be the weekend guest of the city during the big celebration. She will stay with Mr. and Mrs. J. Lee Rogers of 13371 E. North st.
HONG KONG (UP) — Reports from Macau today said 15 small Chinese Nationalist gunboats and three Chinese Communist craft battled for 12 hours in the Pearl river Estuary between here and the Portuguese colony Monday night and Tuesday morning. The outcome was not known.

Over 195 Units to Participate in Big Procession
Everybody who loves a parade is in for a full measure of pleasure this Saturday night, when the annual Hallowe'en parade passes down the streets of Anaheim and around the field at La Palma stadium. Before the procession is completed, viewers will have witnessed 198 outstanding units and one of the biggest and finest parades in the west.
Starting from rather humble beginnings, the parade has grown steadily through the years into one of the major attractions of the local celebration. It reached a new peak this year, the 199 entries setting a parade record.
In addition to the floats, the parade will have all the unusual trappings; horses, bands, marching units, and so on, ad infinitum.
The six main divisions of the parade are: 1. "Story Book Tales," 2. "Old Hallowe'en," 3. "Holidays," 4. "Arizona Western," 5. "Mardi Gras," 6. "Grand Finale."
Victor McLaglen's motorcycle corps will precede the parade, then will come the color guard. Hallowe'en officials and Grand Marshal Iron Eyes Cody and his sides. Following this impressive beginning, the Marine band from El Toro Marine base and the Long Beach Mounted Police troop will pass in review.
The official Hallowe'en float with Miss Slick Chick of 1952, Frances Hurtado, riding upon it will come next. Anaheim high school's band will complete the vanguard and the various parade divisions will begin their march.
Division 1, "Story Book Tales," will include floats, Western mounts and the Valencia, Torrance Youth Brea-Olinda high school and South Gate Youth bands.
Division 2, "Old Hallowe'en," will feature many ancient cars, mounted units and the bands of the Anaheim Elks and Corona Junior high school and drum and bugle corps of Garden Grove Boy Scout Troop 25 and Oranco drum and bugle corps.
Highlights of Division 3, "Holidays," will be the University of Southern California band and the March Air Force base band and
