When You Buy in Anaheim World Calendar Recommended by Rotary Speaker Edward Flynn, rapid-fire talking exponent of the world calendar, yesterday told the Anaheim Rotary club why he feels the world should drop the present calendar and adopt the world calendar. Among the pros and cons of calendars, Mr. Flynn, an attorney and publicist, pointed out: Present calendar has unequal quarters—90, 91, 92 and 92 days. World calendar has equal quarters—91 days. Present calendar months are irregular. World calendar follows set pattern, 31, 30, 30 days. Present calendar months vary from 24 to 27 working days. World calendar has 26 working day months. Holidays in present calendar are "grasshopping dates." World calendar holidays are all part of a weekend. Savings which would come from uniform bookkeeping, better arrangement of working days, and holidays which don't mess up retailers in the middle of the week, could reach two billion dollars, the speaker figured. Mr. Flynn was introduced by Ralph Focht. Arch Baker presided. During the meeting Dr. Ed Jordt introduced Charles Ayad, Fullerton JC student from Transjordan, as a new visiting International Student association member of the Anaheim Rotary club.
