How of $690
As a resident, as a taxpayer, in Orange County—that is the jackpot question—to say the least. For that is the property tax we paid for the year ending June 30, 1952—in addition to (1) property taxes paid in other communities, (2) royalties paid from undersea oil production, and (3) state and Federal taxes.
LET'S BE SPECIFIC
Half a million dollars—even a hundred thousand—is pretty intangible to most of us. So let's look at the official records of expenditures in Orange County.
HERE'S NOW UNDERSEA OIL WELLS ARE
• FREE FOLDER Under a beautiful bathing beach and 300 wells pumping oil from far out under the ocean. Roy these wells have provided money for beach improvements, purposes, veterans' welfare, and the general fund. Also dollars have been paid in county and municipal taxes, plus more in state and Federal taxes. If you would like a colorful, illustrating how these wells are drilled and operated without beach facilities, we will be glad to supply you. FREE of course
