A blue and yellow kitchen shower was held Tuesday evening for Miss Marlene Paschall, daughter of the A. B. Paschalls of Olive who, in August, will become the bride of Staff Sgt. Jimie W. Cline. Hostesses were Miss Edna Messeral and Mrs. Lols Rogers who entertained in the home of Mrs. Steve Hughes, 168 S. Main st., Orange.
Arrangements of shasta daisies decorated the living room of the home and on the mantle was a miniature wedding scene with the bridal party. Streamers of yellow and blue reached to the gift table on which were placed the many articles for a kitchen.
All the guests were presented novelty corsages of plastic knives and forks tied with blue and yellow ribbon. Miss Paschall's corsege was corn holders and butter spreaders, also tied with yellow and blue ribbon.
Various guessing games were played after the gifts were opened, and prizes were awarded to Mrs. Orville Timme and Mrs. A. B. Paschall.
Refreshments of individual cakes decorated in yellow and blue were served with pineapple-lime frappe and blue and yellow mints on TATTLE-TALES

A DENTAL APPOINTMENT was the purpose, last Monday, for a visit to Los Angeles by Mrs. Alice Briley, 1216 W. Broadway. Before the day was over, however, and she had returned to Anaheim, the reason for the visit to the city, among other things, had taken a minor place in her thoughts. With some time on her hands to dispose of she decided to attend the Queen for a Day show, where, to her surprise and delight she was chosen Queen. Her wish was a most deserving one, and truly merited the decision of the judges. Every one who knows the Brileys, shares the pleasure in their good fortune.
