ZION LUTHERAN BROWNIES presented an evening program for parents and friends last night at the church bungalow. Among the girls featured in the entertaining review were Penny Wampler, Donna Jean Maley, Judy Grimm, Ruth Ann Steinbrink, Elsie Niewohner, Lloydine Rodgers, Kathleen Koehler, Linda Heybrock, Arlene Gilger, Catheryn Cole, Betty Pflug, Jackie Grimm, Shirley Mims, Sharon Mims, Patty Hushman, Charlene Cook, Sandra Harrison, Helen Kreidt, Jerry Ann Whitesides, Sandra Watson and Jacqueline Kinney. Mrs. Thompson will be seated as president: Mrs. Charles Bush first. Junior Ebell Meets Tuesday General meeting of Junior Ebell club will be held June 3 in the clubhouse and will be the final session for the group this year. Hostesses are Mesdames Don White, chairman; Bill Wilmer, Arthur Winney, LaMar Smith, Thomas Sowder, Jack Sutter, William Sutherland, Paul Tschann, Ed Tyreman, Forest Wolverton, Ralph Wheaton, Clark Scott and Miss Anna Marie Steichen. Bridge section will meet June 17 at the clubhouse with Mrs. James Reinert, Mrs. John Raber and Mrs. Wesley Osborne in charge. Mrs. Charles Endicott is handling reservations. Members are urged to bring a can of food to the meeting for the adopted family. The Women's Auxiliary of St. Michael's church will hold a meeting in the parish house Monday evening June 2, at 7:30. The Rev. Hiram B. Crosby, vicar of St. Thomas church, Lakewood, will be speaker. All members are urged to attend. Adrian L. Wolfert married Mrs. Ann Baker of Long Beach, May 14 at the First Btptist church in Santa Ana. They are now at home to their friends at the Wolfert ranch, 7122 E. Ball rd. Rev. Herman C. Wedel, 7531 E. Cerritos ave., is improving at home after surgery and a week in the Anaheim Community hospital. The Woman's Auxiliary to the Orange County Medical association will meet at the YWCA, 1411 N. Broadway, Santa Ana, at 1 p.m. June 3. A dessert will be served and installation of officers will follow. Mrs. J. S. Blaisdell will be hostess chairman. Young Entertainers Featured in Show For Hospital John Faessel, local talented juvenile magician, assisted by his sister Joan, entertained in the wards last Sunday afternoon at the Corona Naval hospital in Corona. The show was sponsored by the Anaheim unit of the Veterans of foreign wars who also furnished oranges, apples and home-made cookies for the boys there. Patients as well as the hospital personnel gave John and Joan a big hand, and stated they thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. WE WELCOME YOU Girl Scout News Girl Scout troop 53 of Benjamin Franklin school spent an overnight at Fullerton Scout House last week. Highlight of the trip was the nature hike, where leaves and flowers were collected, identified, and later mounted. This qualified the girls, in part, for the second rank badge for which they were working. After the nature hike there was a butterfly hunt with some specimens captured to add to the troop's mounted collection. The girls cooked their own meals and prepared their bedrolls. Leader, Mrs. M. D. Hilgenfeld, was assisted on the overnight by Mrs. H. G. Dewey. The troop held its Court of Awards at Mrs. M. Hilgenfeld's home. Each girl made and issued her own invitation. The troop made cookies and served them with ice cream to their mothers and friends present. For part of the program each girl told the guests of one phase of the eleven fields covered during her scouting year. The rest of the program consisted of the Court of Awards with Mrs.. Norbert De Cock acting as Mistress of Ceremonies. Girls in this troop are: Judy Brownell, Rosemary Dailey, Sherry Cabot, Leni Dorman, Carolyn Dugdale, Karen Elliott, Marjorie Hilgenfeld, Diane Johnson, Sandra Kelsey, Maxcia Kolker, Patsy Murray, Jane Murray, Barbara Summa, and Beverly Wilson. The dinner meeting will complete this year of Scouting. Mission Tour For Pupils Of Savanna The fourth grades at Savanna school were taken to San Juan Capistrano Mission by their teachers Mrs. Ruth Milner and Mrs. Lois Jewell. At noon, the 50 boys and girls enjoyed box lunches at Capistrano State park and hiked along the beach to Dana Point gathering shells. Mrs. Donal A. Yonts and Mrs. John Adams accompanied the group.
