The candidates likewise, are to be congratulated for presenting their views on the various issues that comprise the complex primary campaign. LeRoy Lyon, Jr., Glenn McCloud and Frank Rospaw, state assembly candidates; Lloyd Verry and John Shea, Northern Orange county municipal court judge candidates; John Murdy and Sam Collins, state senate candidates, must be praised for enlightening the voters whom they seek to represent. Mrs. Mary Endicott and Mrs. Hildred Ferrell did a mighty good job—but the old Gazetteer would remind one and all, that actually this was not the first Anaheim Town Meeting. The 50 founding fathers—call 'em colonists, if you wish) actually held town meetings in their first adobe schoolhouse. This was part of the democratic heritage that is Anaheim.
