Hospitality Tea For New Residents Saturday, May 3
The regular monthly Hospitality Tea sponsored by the Retail Division of the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce will be held Saturday, May 3, at the Dorothy-Wade Dinner House. Hostesses for the tea will be the ladies of the Altrusa club.
All ladies who moved to Anaheim during the month of March have been invited to the tea. The Retail merchants have taken this means to give the ladies a welcome to the city. The Altrusa club acting as hostesses have arranged a good program to tell the new-comers about Anaheim.
Plans for the May tea are under the direction of Mrs. Hildreth Ferrell of the Altrusa club and Mrs. Vera Auest, chairman of the Chamber of Commerce "Welcome Neighbor" committee. A lunch will be served by Dorothy Ford, proprietress of the Dorothy-Wade Dinner House, as her special contribution to the event. Flowers for the occasion are to be furnished by Carmen's.
The committee has sent printed invitations to all newcomers who moved into the city during the month of March. They point out however that some ladies may have moved in during the month whose names were not made available to the invitation committee. So, the committee wishes to emphasize that all March newcomers are invited to attend the tea whether they received any invitation or not. For additional information, call the Chamber of Commerce.
