Large Attendance Marks First Father-Son Banquet at Jefferson
The first Father and Son dinner held last night at Thomas Jefferson school had a wonderful turnout of 120 fathers and sons. The cafeteria was beautifully decorated by Mrs. Harold Fellbaum and Mrs. Fred Kraestel, the flowers represented the colors of the school, green and yellow.
The Thomas Jefferson P-TA served a very tasty ham dinner with Mrs. Leavett Ford and Mrs. A. R. Buils in charge.
Serving were Mrs. D. Stettler, Mrs. C. Dunton, Mrs. P. Bird, Mrs. G. Magill, Mrs. D. Ralston and the girls from the sixth grade.
The affair was opened by salute to the flag, led by Don Ralston, principal of the school, acting as master of ceremonies, and a prayer by Rev. Jacksteit of First Baptist church.
When the dinner was consumed, Mr. Ralston took the fathers back to their school days by leading them in songs.
