Frank Paulin Wins New Navy Rating Frank William Paulin of 13862 Laurel st., Santa Ana, member of Organized Surface Division 11-20, recently passed Eleventh Naval District examinations for Boat-swain's Mate third class and was ordered to wear the appropriate insignia immediately, announces Lt. Hal G. Policy, commanding officer of the Santa Ana Reserve unit. Paulin has been an active member of the Naval Reserve since his discharge from active duty in 1945. As a war-time sailor he had duty in the Port Director's Office, San Francisco, and aboard the USS Nereus, a submarine tender.
