Every attention is given toward careful evaluation of teachers, once each year, by Fullerton Union High School and Junior College administrators and department heads composing the administrative council, Superintendent Stanley Warburton reported. Each council member submits a written evaluation in case he is not sufficiently well acquainted with them. These reports, based on professional judgment and aimed at development of the finest teaching staff available, are closely screened by the council as a whole in discussion meeting. Recommendations by the council are presented by Superintendent Warburton to members of the Board of Trustees, consisting of Francis N. Laird, D. Gordon McComber, Lloyd A. Riutcei, Edmund H. Salter, and Ralph C. Snook who—as elected members of the school districts involved—take action according to well-considered judgment, it was explained. Best interests of students of the district are their foremost concern, in making decisions which affect the faculty, school policies and property, and the future reputation of the schools serving the community. The office of the superintendent announced yesterday that numerous applications have been received in the past few weeks, from qualified teachers seeking placement in the Fullerton high school and junior college. These little potatoes come in cans now, peeled and ready for eating. They tempted you but you decided to have the sweet potatoes because the oven was going. You really pulled a fast one when you decided upon cocoanut layer cake. You found the Pillsbury cake mix on sale and chose devils food. You put the layers together with white seven minute iceing, saving more than half for the top and sides. Then you used a generous hand with the cocoa nut. The cocoanut made a natural nest for jelly beans so you added a few of the colorful candies for garnish.
