Social and Club Activities Pat Terrebonne — 2208 Regimental Meet Planned by Canton Auxiliary A covered dish dinner preceded the meeting of the Ladies Auxiliary to Canton Santa Ana No. 18, Patriarchs Militant, when they held their regular meeting, Mrs. Della Reynolds, president, presided. Mrs. Mary Alice Shawhan, vice president, was in charge of the dining room. Plans were formed for the Regimental Meet to be held June 14 and 15, when Santa Ana Canton and Auxiliary will be hosts. The place will be announced at a later date. Members reported on attending the Installation of Officers at Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego and at San Pedro when Brigadier General Arnold E. Howard of Anaheim was installing officer. Craft Session For Scout Leaders The Leader's Club of the Anaheim Girl Scouts will hold its regular monthly meeting Monday evening, March 24, at 7:30 p.m. at the La Palma Youth Center building. Magnolia Study Club Discussion The Magnolia Study club held their monthly dessert luncheon, pineapple pudding and coffee, at the residence of Mrs. Olin L. Cramer, 9771 Nutwood. Assistant hostesses were Mrs. Ole V. Weaver and Mrs. Millie Remland. In the absence of the president, Mrs. Fred Law, who was at the hospital with her son, Marvin, Mrs. Daniel Marschall, vice-president, presided. Mrs. Delos Westbrook, of Brookhurst rd., missionary for 15 years in Alaska, gave one of the most interesting talks ever presented to the group. She told of living 200 miles east of Nome, 40 miles north of the Arctic Circle. The April meeting will be a trip to the Hermosa aquarium, with luncheon at Smith's Fish Shanty. Special Session Of Washington Executive Board A special meeting of George Washington P-TA executive board was held March 20 at the home of Mrs. Max White to settle details of the recent circus-carnival. Mrs. Joseph Mason chairman in Television Forum Feature of District It was recommended by students who participated in a Student panel on the topic "Students Look at TV" at Fourth district, California Congress of Parents and Teachers in Orange First Christian church, March 20, that a family council should be held regarding the type of program and time given by family members. Plan Hospital Charity Ball The entire community of Newport Harbor and surrounding area is working towards the success of the First Annual Hospital Charity Ball, proceeds to be used towards the furnishing and equipping of the new Hoag Memorial Hospital; Presbyterian, which will be held on Friday, April 18, at the Balboa Bay Club. A group of interested workers met for luncheon recently at the club to play ways and means and appointed the following prominent group of ladies to spearhead the advance sales of tickets: Mrs. Jack Corn, chairman of the ticket sales committee, and her committee which consists of: Mrs. Harvey Somers, Mrs. L. L. Isbell, Mrs. Lonnie Vincent, Mrs. Hay Langenheim, Mrs. Allen Crissell, Mrs. William S. Holstein, Mrs. Mary Topper, Mrs. William E. Chichester, Mrs. Carl H. Hanna, Mrs. Albert Stockton, Mrs. Don Hardwood, Mrs. Earl W. Stanley, Mrs. Craft Session For Scout Leaders The Leader's Club of the Anaheim Girl Scouts will hold its regular monthly meeting Monday evening, March 24, at 7:30 p.m. at the La Palma Youth Center building. Mrs. "Dusty" Baker, camp director for the Anaheim Girl Scout council, will show a camping film and answer the leader's questions concerning all camping activities. A craft session will be held under the leadership of Mrs. Melvin Hilgenfeld featuring instructor in copper tooling. Each member is asked to bring an orange manicure stick—other materials will be furnished. The Leader's Club meetings are for all Girl Scout leaders, assistant leaders and committee members. Refreshments will be served by leaders from George Washington school.
