Sultry, foggy-voiced Lizabeth Scott has returned from a European jaunt and bilimey if she doesn't think British men are top-notch, romantically speaking. The actress didn't have time to indulge in anything serious, but she was subject to some international wooing while touring Europe. She was escorted by English, French, Italian and Swiss men, and she decided that the English are the most adept in matters of the heart. "English men are so youthful in their manner," she enthused. "They dress in young-looking suits and many of them wear crew cuts. I'm crazy for crew cuts." "It's not true that English men are sober and unemotional all the time. They have delightful senses of humor. That's all the more amazing when you consider what they have gone through during the war and after. It's remarkable that they can find so much to laugh about. "And they can be very endearing, too. They can become quite poetic. That's only natural, since they have a splendid poetic tradition in England." I asked if she implied that American men don't get poetic. "Not as readily," she admitted. "But American men are able to get poetic over a girl if they really get serious about her. I have several weeks making with Paul Henreid, so lot of time for dating. Care as much for the date, which meant the exclusive clubs. Don't have much of a said. "The most fun I had ing to the pub," she said. "They're a wonderful tion, quite unlike any have in this country. Are more like neil clubs; the people meet congenially. There are joke boxes, but each piano. If someone playing, he'll sit down the others will join in." The blonde actress also touring on the continent romantic findings were so satisfactory.
