Angela Ricker Weds Kansas Man At St. Boniface
Planning to establish resident in Topeka, Kansas, are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Leon Irwin whose marriage was solemnized recently at St. Boniface Catholic church by the Rev. Michael Casey.
Bride is the former Miss Angela Catherine Ricker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe B. Ricker and E. Katella ave., Anaheim.
For the impressive morning nuptials she wore a ballerina gown of white nylon eyelet embroidered over imported pure silk. Her headdress was made of matching eyelet material and she carried orchids and carnations on a white prayer book.
Maid of honor was the bride cousin, Miss Audrey Ricker, who wore an orchid taffeta dress and carried a Colonial bouquet.
Joe Ricker was best man.
Members of the immediate family were received in the Rickle home following the ceremony. Mrs. Darrell Guest, Mrs. Theresa Lattrell and Mrs. John Ricker assisted.
Mrs. Ricker wore a navy blue suit with matching accessories and a white carnation corsage and Mrs. Irwin chose a navy blue sheer dress with navy accessories and a carnation corsage.
When the couple departed for their new home, 2142 Buchanan st., Topeka, Kansas, the bride weared a print dress with white accessories and the orchid from her bouquet. She is a graduate of Anaheim High school.

Afternoon Services Unite Warren Wallace-Eizabeth Oberlin at Baptist Church
Tall pink candles with pink and white stock were the pretty altar decorations in First Baptist church Sunday afternoon when Miss Elizabeth Oberlin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Oberlin of Riverside, was united in marriage with Warren Leon Wallace of San Bernardino.
The Rev. Robert Kevorkian officiated at the 4 p.m. rites.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of chantilly lace and white slipper satin. A lace peplum and cathedral train complimented the full skirt, and the bodice was designed with a sheer neckline and long fitted sleeves. A lace cap held her veil of illusion net and she carried tillies of the valley and white tullips.
Matron of honor was the bride's sister, Mrs. A. D. Scott, who wore pale pink nylon net over taffeta and carried pink tulips.
Miss Rebecca Kemp was flower girl.
Best man was Charles Kirkpatrick and ushers were Robert Yount, Merle Tree and James Winter, USNR and USN respectively.
Miss Marilyn Miller, soloist, was accompanied by Mrs. V. T. Miller at the organ.
Mrs. Oberlin wore a two piece dress with a corsage of garnet rosebuds and lily of the valley and Mrs. Wallace wore a spring suit with a matching corsage.
Assisting at the reception were
Vera Oberlin, Anne Kemp, Vivian Gothard, LaMoyne Spicer, Mrs. Yount and Mrs. J. V. Thompson. Guest book was in charge of Laressia Spicer.
Following a Catalina honeymoon the couple will reside in Anaheim. Bride is a graduate of Redlands University and is on the faculty at Loara school. Her husband is stationed with the USN-RTC at Los Alamitos.
Bride-Elect Feted at Shower
Pink and green decorations lent a spring theme to the pretty shower honoring Miss Margaret Gardner Sunday afternoon. Hostesses for the party were Miss Joyce Enloe and Miss Marlene Fox who entertained in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Fox on N. Olive st.
Appropriate games were played during the evening and prizes were awarded to Miss Barbara Trapp and Mrs. Margie Hund.
Cake with whipped cream, coffee and punch were served by the hostesses who were assisted by their mothers, Mrs. Harry Fox and Mrs. W. H. Enloe.
Attending were Mrs. Eugenia Gardner, mother of the honoree; Mrs. Mary Lou Hunt, Miss Verne Hooker, Mrs. Margie Hund, Miss Barbara Trapp, Miss Janet Vincent, Miss Jo Burdick, Miss Barbara Mary, Miss Patty Brooks, Miss Patty Mattox, Miss Annette Ater and Mrs. Jeanette Ward. Unable to attend but sending gifts were Mrs. Lynn Montgomery, Miss Madge Dunagan, Mrs. Maloney, Mrs. Carol Justus, Miss Shirley Bay and Mrs. Donny Dickens.

Girl Scout News
Three Girl Scout troops turn news of special events, recent activities, and future plans. They are Troop 27 and 37 from Fremont and Senior Scout Troop 8.
The Fremont Troops held an impressive Court of Awards Ceremony at La Palma Youth Center building on Feb. 29. Several girls became first class Scouts. Attaining first class rank from Scout Troop 27 were Louella Bakey Dorothy Bovee, Kaye Caffee, MiRED Hernandez and Kaye Renni from Troop 37 were Glenda Grau Carol Hemkin, Kay Eldred, Allene Schafer, Glenda Simontoff Charlene Allen and Diane Rickards. "To earn First Class Girl Scout Rank means completing requirements for 12 badges," stated Mildred Hernandez, scribe for Troop 27, "and represents continual effort on the part of Scout combined with good leadership."
Other girls working toward First Class and receiving badge to that end were Barbara Brook Virginia Cabellero, Lucy Fischl Linda Howe, Margaret Oliver from Troop 27. Harlean Maye Sharon Ross and Louise Cowee are new members to this troop and were present at the ceremony with the troop leaders Mrs. John Bovee and Mrs. Norman Tessner.

County Music Fest Wednesday Night
Weeks of rehearsal will be culminated Wednesday evening when vocalists of 12 high schools present the 1952 Orange County Vocal Music Festival in Santa Ana Union High school auditorium, beginning at 8 p.m. About 150 Fullerton Union High school students will take part in the program.
Four different vocal groups from each school are to participate, including Freshman girls' glee clubs, advanced girls' glee clubs, boys' glee clubs, and mixed choruses. Soloists from FUHS are Nancy Arnold and Michael Hines.
Nelson Bonar of Fullerton will conduct the advanced girls who are to sing "Silent Strings." "Adoramus to Christe," "Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor," and "O Mary, Don't You Weep."
About two weeks later, March 28, bands and orchestras of Orange County high schools will unite to present the annual instrumental music festival, with practice now underway.

Women's Club To See Fullerton JC Actors
Presenting a mock radio broadcast, five students of the Fullerton junior college drama department will appear before the Brea Women's club March 11, according to Alex Omalev, instructor.
First portion of the program will be a radio adaptation of Karel Capek's famous play, "RUR" (Rosen's Universal Robots). Script is by Don Padgett (Pico), who will act and direct the play as well. The mock radio presentation will be complete with music, sound effects, and mieophones.
Others in the cast of "RUR" are Joyce Shunk, Anaheim; Vaughn Hall, Brea; Greg Gorby, Fullerton, and Mary Sue Hall, Stockton.
George Washington P-TA meets Wednesday, March 12, at 2 p.m. in the school auditorium. Paul Cook, superintendent of schools, will speak on "The Reading Program." Baby sitter is available at the school.

From Santa Ana were Marine Senior Scouts with leader Virginia Stone to aid in Court of Award ceremony. Mariners Joan Fedde and Barbara Hawkins presented badges while midshipmate Sonrdr Hulbert presented First Class Awards.
Prior to awards was a program in which flag bearer Lucy Fischlo assisted by Kay Eldred and Verlee Elliot presented the Color while Kay Rennie led the Flagsalute. Giving 40th birthday readings were Glenda Simonton, Lindy Howe, Peggy Jo Dargatz, Louell Baker, Glenda Gray, Kaye Caffee Barbara Martin and Mildre Hernandez. Presenting badge talks were Allene Schafer and Dorothy Bovee.
The Court of Awards ceremony closed with Girl Scouts, Mariner and guests singing several Scout songs before enjoying a social time with refreshments.

First to hear news of the engagement of Miss Helen Joan Strickland of this city and Melvin LeRoy Sheppard of Wilmington,

The message was revealed in a beautifully decorated cake with the names "Helen and Melvin" written in yellow and surrounded by yellow roses and white doves.

The Magnolia P-TA met recently with the president, Mrs. Homer Kirk, presiding. The flag salute was by Cub Scout Stephen Justus.
The forthcoming cookbook compiled by members with their favorite recipes will soon be completed and offered to the public. Members were urged to assist with the Red Cross drive, March 3 to 10.
Mrs. Frank Cushing, program chairman, presented Mrs. Jane Dickerson, fourth grade teacher, in a skit, "Wagon Wheels."
Nominating committee was appointed to be Mmes. James Allen, Richard S. Yater, L. M. Allred and Mattie Lou Maxwell, principal.

The troop agreed that it would meet twice a month instead of monthly as in the past, that it would cook the YLI breakfast March 16, that each girl would choose a foreign country from which she wished to secure a penal and that the recording secretary would write for names from the International Department of Scouting in New York.
President of Senior Scout Troop Carol Miller adjourned the meeting after Mrs. Bushman and Ruth Gillespie served refreshments.
