The action was directed at Jesse Scribner; Mike Serranto and the Crowell motor Co., Inc. "who may have interest in the automobile." The City of Huntington Beach will have a new trial in the case in which $358,000 damages was awarded as a result of injuries sustained by Richard Ferris, 19, who dived from the municipal pier ... Suspended jail sentences and probation were given Mrs. Julia Ward, 47, and Mrs. Carolyn Jane Munger, 26, for the burning of three small boys at the now abandoned Bethel School.
