MORRIS 2-6 JAY ALAN—# Newspaper 'SHE'S HAVING A HARD TIME. I DANGEROUS AGE---HE'S BEEN Large Ball Rd. Area Recommended For Annexing by Planning Group Anaheim Planning commission Monday recommended the annexation of approximately 500 acres of land south of the city limits the area to be known as the Ball Rd. Annexation. The original area would have almost squared off the city limits at Ball rd. from West to East st., but later addition of about 200 acres extended the area south of Ball rd. Approximate boundaries of the proposed triangular annexation are Vermont ave. on the north, Ball rd. on the south, the intersection of Ball rd. with Manchester on the west, and East st. on the east, with the northern half of the area bounded by Vermont, East, Ball and Placentia aves. reaching to Placentia aves. Gordon Whitnall, planning consultant, was instructed to prepare new Billboard and trailer court ordinances. Action has been pending on setback provisions for billboards along Santa Ana freeway, but was held over pending Whitnall's proposed ordinance. The same has been true regarding trailer courts in the city limits. A variance request for addition of 250 feet to the Rancho La Palma Trailer Court was turned down, as was a request to use property on Romneya dr. as a trailer court. Carl Lemcke petitioned for the later, which he would lease from the owner, Milton Sell. Reclassification of areas within the city for R-3 use was held over pending further study with the Chamber of Commerce's committee on housing, which has been making a survey of possible development areas. Further action will be considered following public hearing Feb. 18. A public hearing was set for Mar. 3 and Apr. 7 on the zoning of E. Center st. from East av. Placentia ave. as C-2 (commercial) zone. No action was taken on the classification of the southwest corner of Los Angeles and South St., where a grocery has been proposed to be built. The owner is C. A. Zimmerman. A hearing will be held Feb. 18 on the request of Kwikset Lock Inc., for the abandonment of the extension of Kroeger st. south of Santa Ana st. Kwikset wants the land for plant expansion and has offered to construct an alley to provide access now given by Kroeger st. A plumbing and hardware supply establishment proposed for construction on the three looms west of Illinois st. on the southeast side of Center st. by Atlantic Supply Co. will be reviewed by the commission Feb. 18. A review would not be necessary, except that the Atlantic Supply Co. proposes to store materials in a side and rear yard, which brought protests from neighboring property owners. EVERY SORRY OPERA FORTE! GOOD DAY! I THOUGHT YOU'D TRY THAT, SO I LAID FOR YOU! GET AHEAD OF ME, KEETA, THIS SUBWAY TRAIN'S MOVING RIGHT OUT! HAW HAW...
