Life Membership Awarded at P-TA Council Tea
Mrs. J. F. Davenport, past-president of Lincoln school and an outstanding P-TA worker for many years, was presented with a life membership when Anaheim council of P-TA held its annual Founders Day silver tea Friday. Presentation was made by Mrs. Arthur Korn.
The affair, honoring past presidents of the P-TA council, which was organized in 1927, was held at the home of Mrs. J. Lee Rogers. Special guests were all P-TA presidents and Mrs. Waldo Ward, Miss Adelaide Price, Mrs. Leo J. Fris, Mrs. H. L. Burden, Mrs. Essie Loard and Mrs. G. E. Holmes. Mrs. John Daniels is president of the council.
Presiding at the tea table were wives of principals of the local schools including Mrs. Paul Demaree, Mrs. Wilbert Bonney, Mrs. Frank Mattox, Mrs. Chester Fowler, Miss Ellzabeth Dickerson, Mrs. Paul Cook and Mrs. M. A. Gauer.
Mrs. Warren Hodges was general chairman, with approximately 100 guests in attendance. Mrs. William Rickle is life membership chairman.
Bride-Elect Is Honored by Friends
Elleen Peltier and Mrs. H. Steinbring were hostesses at a shower on a recent evening honoring Miss Margie Royer who will wed John Gulick of Santa Ana on Feb. 2.

White Temple Methodist Church Is Setting for Dickenson-Sander's Rites
An empire gown of satin and lace was chosen by lovely Miss Jeanene Sanders when she repeated vows at the altar of White Temple Methodist church last night with Dennis DeVon Dickenson. The Rev. James C. Dixon read the double ring service.
Mrs. Dickenson wore a dark green antique taffeta dress with brown and tan accessories and corsage of pink roses.
Palm Springs was the couple honeymoon destination. The mrs. Dickinson wore a navy blue roses.

Stork Theme at Matron’s Shower
Another in the series of lovely parties which have honored Mrs. Dick Ponteprino was given this week by Mrs. Jack Gregg of E. La Palma ave.
A clever stork theme was used, with many of the traditional birds fashioned by the hostess in decorating the home. Centering the table was a large stork guarding the gifts which emptied into a bassinet. Pink roses and violets were arranged in appropriate vases in the living room.
Prizes were won by Mrs. Geo. Lovett and Mrs. Larry Beeler. After games, the hostess served pink and white ice cream, cake and coffee.
Attending were Mrs. Louis Palm, Mrs. Effie Petty, Mrs. Edward Winger, Mrs. Jack Ruther, Mrs. Jess Cowlishaw, Mrs. Joe Moisi, Mrs. Edward Winger, Sr., and Miss Sherry Gregg. Unable to be present were: Mrs. Joe Culpepper, Mrs. George Dodge and Miss Pierena Ponteprino.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Sanders of W. Center st., was given in marriage by her father. A high neckline and long fitted sleeves accented the slimness of the long fitted waist, draped at the hips and falling into a satin skirt en train. Her nylon net veil was held by a lace cap and she carried a white orchid on a white Bible.
Maid of honor, Miss Bonnie Smith, wore a full skirted gown on poudre blue moiré taffeta with a brief cape. Her flowers were a nosegay of yellow carnations.
A deeper shade of blue was worn by bridesmaids Marlene Fox, Betty Raley and Rosemary Wood. They also carried yellow nosegays.
Jim Elam was best man and ushers were Charles Nash, Al Dutzi, Bob Sanders and Murray Roach.
Jerry Sanders, brother of the bride, lighted candles before the service.
Albert Cranson was soloist and was accompanied by Eva Gooden. His selections were "Because" and "The Lord's Prayer."
Yellow carnations decorated the bride’s table where a four tiered wedding cake was served to guests by Mrs. John A. Wood, Mrs. Helen Vonderworth, Mrs. Art Lamb, Mrs. Dorothy Copeland, Mrs. Le land Roach and Mrs. Sam Prentiss. Mrs. Murray Roach had charge of the guest book.
Mrs. Sanders wore a navy blue ribbon dress with candy pink accessories and a corsage of pink roses.
Mrs. Dickenson wore a dark green antique taffet dress with brown and tan accessories and corsage of pink roses.
Palm Springs was the couple honeymoon destination. The mrs. Dickinson wore a navy blue and white check suit with accessories in red and navy. She is graduate of Anaheim high school and attended Redlands university. Her husband, son of Mr. and M. N. E. Dickenson of N. Topeka is a graduate of Fullerton high school and has attended Redland university for two years. They will reside in that city.

Carol Jean McDermott Is Bride of John Arthur Fouch in Evening Services
The classic simplicity of a white wedding was carried out in the double ring services Friday evening, uniting Miss Carol Jean McDermott, daughter of the W. C. McDermotts of Orangethorpe ave.
For a Big Bear honeymoon the bride chose a grey flannel tailored suit with accents of black and black accessories. She is a graduate of Anaheim high school and attended Fullerton Junior college.
Zeta Tau Alpha Meets in Orange
Mrs. George Shattuck of Orange enttained members of Zeta Tau Alpha alumnae club. Orange county at a dessert brunch Saturday in her home.
Prizes were won by Miss Murison for canasta and M. W. Little and Mrs. Allen Chell for bridge.
Attending from Anaheim were Mrs. Earle Jackson, Mrs. Kuchel, Mrs. M. W. Little, Mrs. Charles Simmons.
Los Angeles county Alumna will sponsor a benefit lunch and fashion show on March 12:30 in the Crystal Room of Beverly Hills hotel. Featured be creations by Howard G. The affair will benefit the National Society for Crippled Children and Adults.
Mata and Hari In Santa Ana Friday Evening
Dance satirists Mata and will present a program Feb. 1, at 8:15 p.m. in Santa High school auditorium. The cital will be the third program the Santa Ana Communitycert Assn's series.
Longtime concert favorites are now a top dance attraction television. This season they making a tour of more than cities, opening at the U. S. N academy in Annapolis, Md., month and closing in Philadelphia in April.
The dance team's numbers tirize the ballet, the sports reel, Carnegie hall, the ci modern art and Latin-Americ nightclubs.
Carol Jean McDermott Is Bride of John Arthur Fouch in Evening Services
The classic simplicity of a white wedding was carried out in the double ring services Friday evening, uniting Miss Carol Jean McDermott, daughter of the W. C. McDermotts of Orangethorpe ave. and Jorn Arthur Fouch of Santa Ana.
A white carpet led to the altar of Zion Lutheran church where the Rev. E. H. Pflug officiated at the nuptials.
Entering the church on the arm of her father, the bride wore a white satin redingote over a white net dress. A heart shaped cornet held her chantilly lace veil. In her bouquet were white orchids, carnations and hyacinths.
Darleen Heinrich, matron of honor, wore a gold slipper satin dress. A gold contour belt with toast brown and gold net attached created an irridescent effect. She carried coral talisman carnations.
Bridesmaids were Bonnie Jean McDermott and Betty Jo McDermott, Lorraine Montijo and Lynn Jefferies. They wore toast brown slipper satin with tinf flower hats and bouquets of coral talisman carnations.
In a gown identical to that worn by the matron of honor Melinda May acted as flower girl with Ronald Pina as ring bearer.
Edward Fouch, the bridegroom's brother, was best man and ushers were Brennan McClelland, Robert Hoyt and Herbert Hill.
Soloist Kenneth Akin sang "Serenade", "Ichliberdich" and "The Lord's Prayer" accompanied by Mrs. Walter Kempin.

They will reside on N. Parton st. in Santa Ana.

FJC Offers Class In Job Relations
Getting a job, keeping a job and being happy on the job might well be considered the objectives of the course in Personnel Relations to be offered in the Fullerton evening junior college, according to L. W. Wheatley, principal. The course is designed for workers, supervisory personnel and employers. The class will meet from 7 to 9 p.m., Mondays, beginning Feb. 4.
Ethel Linsdell is the instructor in the class. Miss Linsdell has had 30 years experience in the field of office supervision with Union Oil company and Wilshire Oil company. Her college training has included work at Whittier college, Columbia University and University of California.
Registration for the class in Personnel Relations may be made in the evening college office on the front arcade of the Fullerton Union High school campus. The office is open during the day from Monday through Friday and from 6:30 to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
