WEATHERLINE — Old Jupiter Pluvius is really doing right by Anaheimers this year. He's using his sprinkling can rather liberally after Jack Frost came and did his damage.

Actor Sterling Hayden drove the gold spike as Walter Knott inaugurated his Ghost Town & Calico railway. Actress Laura Elliott bashed a bottle of champaign over the 1880-vintage Baldwin locomotive just before its trial run on the three-quarter-mile Buena Park right-of-way.’ . Anaheim Northrop plant employees benefited by the recently announced pay hike.
TWO — The second Orange county highway fatality was registered when John Sakis, 79, rehit by an auto driven by Scot-tired San Pedro restaurateur, was struck by a car.

FUHS Seniors Seek Gay '90s Costumes
American costumes typical of the Gay Nineties, between 1890 and the turn of the century, are being sought throughout the Fullerton Union High School district by members of the senior class and the drama department. It was reported yesterday. They are to provide authentic costuming for the 1952 senior class play which will be announced soon.
Residents of the area are requested to search attic shelves and trunks for such apparel, men's and women's, if they find it convenient to lend them to the school for two performances, on Feb. 15 and 16.
According to Miss Virginia Ellis and Director George Archambeault, all costumes will receive careful treatment and cleaning before being returned to owners. A telephone call or card addressed to the high school office will be appreciated, should residents have outfits available.
