This month, 500 California editors were polled to determine what they felt was the public's greatest dream. The poll was inspired by the theme of the forthcoming Pasadena Tournament of Roses—"Dreams of the Future." One-hundred and eighty-four editors responded to the questionnaire and, out of these, 116 (63 per cent) named World Peace. Running second, with 14.1 per cent, was Security, and third, with 6.5 per cent, was Prosperity. Listed below are the various categories receiving the editors' votes and the percentages for each: Per Cent World Peace ... 63 Security ... 14.1 Prosperity ... 6.5 Living on Easy Street ... 4.9 Good Health ... 3.9 Leisure Time ... 2.7 Trip to the Moon ... 1 Others ... 3.9 Several sponsors of floats in the coming New Year's Rose Parade have hit upon some form of the world peace theme in depicting "Dreams of the Future." The American Legion has selected the legend, "They Shall Not Have Dreamed in Vain;" The Native Sons and Daughters, "World Harmony;" the Minute Maid Corporation, "World Peace" itself; Los Angeles county, "Dreams of Peace."
