Bank of America Distributes Stock Shares to Employes Trustees of the Bank of American Employees Profit-Sharing Plan today distributed 42,709 shares of the Bank of America stock valued at $1,195,852 to staff members eligible through length of service. Announcement of the distribution was made by L. M. Gimini, president of the bank, who pointed out that since inauguration of the plan in 1938, certificates of stock valued at approximately $30,000,000 on the present market have been issued to Bank of America employees. The annual dividends on this stock now total $1,714,000 at current rates. PITTSBURGH CP — Philip Murray's sudden call for a meeting of the big CIO United Steelworkers union's top policy makers has the steel industry buzzing today about possible outcome of contract negotiations. Bethel Baptist Rev. Berthold Jacksteit will talk Sunday morning at Bethel baptist church on, "Day Spring Christian Church The choir of the Christian church assisted by the Girls' chorus will present the cantata, "Yuletide Memories" by Ira B. Wilson this Sunday evening at 7:30 o'clock. This cantata which is based on the best-loved carols will be directed by Mrs. Leah Pemberton with the organ and piano accompaniment by Mr., and Mrs. Marshall McFle. The numbers of the cantata include, "Praise and Glory" by the choir and chorus; "The Prophecy," minor solo by Herman Schacht; "BethLhem" chorus and alto solo by Mrs. Alfred Mills; "The Shepherd's Vision" choir; "The Midnight Choir" alto solo by Mrs. Guy Heckman; "The Wise Men" men's chorus and bass solo by Gerald Baker; "O With Pure Delight" soprano solo by Miss Beverly Johnson; "Room for Thee" and "Hallelujah" by the choir and chorus. St. Michael's Episcopal Holy Communion at 8:00 a.m. will begin services on the Third Sunday in Advent. At 9:30 a.m., the Church School members are invited to bring Christmas presents for the Navy Family Chapel in Long Beach. This Episcopal project for Navy families of all denominations consists of two chapels with a variety of services. Zion Lutheran A Pre-Cristmas Vesper service will be held at Zion Lutheran church, Emily and Chartres, Sunday at 4:30 p.m. Robed in white, the first and second graders of Zion Lutheran school will sing "As Each Happy Christmas" and the third and fourth graders will present the ever-favorite Christmas carol: "Away in a Manger." Mrs. Richard Holtshoben Jr., directs these groups and they will be accompanied by Mrs. Walter Kempin at the organ. The program will also include the carol: "Behold, a Branch Is Growing," song a capella by the Zion Lutheran school choir under the direction of Paul Lohr. This carol includes the traditional; "Kyrie, Kleeson" by Praetorius. An anthem by the Zion Senior choir, Mrs. Walter Kempin, director, and singing of favorite Christmas by inmns by the assembly completes the musical portion of the service. Rev. Edwin H. Pfug, pastor at Zion, will deliver the message: "Christmas Comes with Its Life Divine" based on I John I, 4. "Of course, we might ask today: 'Is life really worthwhile?' when the ground is being soaked with the lifeblood of thousands by war and murder, by criminal neglect and carelessness. Church school begins at 9:45 a.m. White Temple Methodist "How Long, O Lord?" will be the topic of the sermon to be delivered at White Temple Methodist church by the Rev. Frank E. Butterworth in the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday. The Chicago Cardinals vs the Chicago Bearls is the oldest rivalry in pro football, having started back in 1920. Los Angeles St. ORANGE COUNTY TEMPLE CHOIR TO GIVE CAROL CONCERT— The Temple Choir of the Anaheim White Temple Methodist church, Broadway and Philadelphia sts., Anaheim, has prepared a beautiful candle light service for Sunday evening at 7:00, Dec. 16, in the chancel of the church. This carol program will be sacred in concept and appropriate scripture and story will be read by the Rev.端 Frank Butterworth, pastor. Working on the script have been Harlan Anderson, director of the choir, and Phyllis Hinman, Mary Ann Ritchie, Mrs. C. A. Andrews, Joe Hinman, and Charles Hopper, members of the choir, Virginia Simm Burk will be organist and Mrs. Robert Hauselman will be soloist. The Christmas program was put on this year by the drama and music students. With the humming of Christmas carols, and the students clad in pajamas around the fire, presented the program with a lively Christmas spirit. Delorus Giardino featured soloist, sang "Holy Night." The program as a whole was a fine production, under the direction, of Mr. Disrud, Miss Swanson and Miss Hitt. Today at 3:30, four journalism students from AUHS were on KVOE, the high school program in Santa Ana. Their talks were on campus activities, and on sports. The students who represented Anaheim on this Radio Program were: Glen Kaminsky, Fred Head, Janice Pullman and JoAnn Faust. These trips are taken frequently by Anaheim and many other high schools from Orange county. The average age of the Brandeis University football team is 19.5 years. The average weight of the squad is 191 pounds. By JOANN FAUST December 15, is a big night for the students at AUHS, for that is the night the annual Christmas formal dance will be held. Ernie Royas and his band will provide the soft to jazz music. This dance being formal, will allow no stags, this dance is for every couple who enjoys rythmn.
