Police Find No Fault with Club
NEW YORK (UP)—A police investigation has disclosed no evidence that the Stork club discriminated against Negro entertainer Josephine Baker.
The singer said club employees had discriminated against her and kept her waiting more than an hour for a meal on Oct. 16.
Police Commissioner George P. Monaghan yesterday made public a report prepared by an inspector who headed the investigation, giving details of interviews with the Baker party and persons at the club on the night concerned.
Monaghan said that as a result of the investigation "there is no basis for further action by the department in the matter."
The report said Walter White, executive secretary of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, brought the original complaint which led to the investigation.

'M' Day to be
December 27
Poll Shows
CHICAGO (AP)—The 1,000,000 traffic death in the U.S. probable will be recorded on Dec. 21.
The National Safety council said today that its estimates indicate "M Day" will fall on that date.
The council reported that tally for October, plus spec weekly reports for November from state accident record bureaus, raised the grand total through yesterday to approximately 997,300.
That leaves just 2700 lives be lost before victim No. 1,000,000 is counted.
If "M Day" occurs on Dec. 27 it will be precisely 51 years, three months and seven days after the first known motor vehicle death was recorded in 1899 in New York City.
The date could be postponed said the council, if:
"The drivers get good or the weather gets bad."
"We can't depend on the weather," it added, "so let's hope and pray that the drivers get good and delay this tragic event at least until after Christmas."
October fatalities totaled 376 That was the heaviest toll for any month since December, 1941.

Early in Dec.
Introduction of 1952 Pontiac models to the public is scheduled early in December, according to Bevins Pontiac, Anaheim dealership.
The announcement followed disclosure that H. A. Bevins, local Pontiac dealer and his sales force will attend dealers' sales meetings at the Biltmore hotel, Los Angeles, Dec. 6. This meeting will be one of many being held in 25 American cities prior to the initial showing.
L. W. Ward, general sales manager of the Pontiac Motor division of General Motors Corp., said that production of the new models already is under way with a view to supplying dealers in time for public display early in December.
Important engineering developments having to do with engine performance and power transmission will be among features of the new line, he said.
Current dealer stocks are at a minimum and Pontiac showrooms across the country will be relatively bare immediately prior to the announcement of new models. The executive said that production will be scheduled to insure prompt delivery of the 1952 cars beginning in December.
These and other subjects will be on the agenda at the sales meetings. Highlight of the meetings will be inspection of the new cars. In addition, the service program for 1952 will be launched involving discussion of service training to be carried out throughout the dealer organization to provide maximum maintenance of the company's products in the hands of owners.
